We do not typically take the time to write reviews, however, given the terrible experience that we had at Cafe Fiorello this evening, we felt compelled to do so. We arrived for a 5:30pm dinner with our friends. Our party included two children who were playing peacefully at the table and watching an iPhone. The restaurant was extremely busy and noisy. One of the other patrons evidently was upset that we had brought children to a family restaurant and aggressively approached our table to complain that they were disturbing him.... read more
My pancakes were burnt and tough, after waiting for 40 minutes for our order we were highly disappointed
Mal servicio, y la comida de italiano no tiene nada
Overpriced for what it’s worth.
My experience was not as good at it used to be! We were seated in area that wasn’t even ready for customers yet so the first 5-10 minutes people kept moving tables right next to us. This definitely threw off the vibe. We were there for a special occasion and were given the worst table. The server didn’t bring me a spoon for pasta and brought a soup spoon for my dessert. No oil/vinegar was offered for the bread. In order to get a server’s attention we had to wave for like 5 minutes. Now that I think about this I wish I didn’t... read more
Every table was filled. I thought NYC was at 25% occupancy due to COVID. Place was packed - inside. Oddest chicken parm I’ve ever had. Looked like a personal pan pizza. No pasta side (avail for a charge) no bread for the table (again, for a charge). Seriously? I’ve never come across that in an Italian restaurant - anywhere. Too many good restaurants in NYC to bother with this one again.
I really feel bad to be critical about restaurants at this time but this was very frustrating. We ordered meatballs appetizer and it came in a dish with no bread. I asked for some bread but I was told they do not put bread on the table for everyone, they have only garlic bread and it has to e ordered. It cost 7 dollars. Never heard of an Italian restaurant where they fo not have bread on the table.
I made a reservation and my date made one too. So, they sat us using his reservation. His name is Salvatore Somma.
I have been here many times before, and this was by far the most disappointing of meals. Value for money is low here, as poor food quality and high prices drive that equation. This place needs to not rest on its reputation and deliver an experience worthy of location and cost.
