Food, pizza and pasta, were fair but nothing more - certainly not worth coming back for. Our waiter never came back once to check on our meals or to get us new drinks - that is unacceptable. We also had to flag someone down to get our bill after we had been finished for 15 minutes. A lot of good reviews for this place - not sure why.
MY OPENTABLE RESERVATION GOT ME SEATS CLOSEST TO THE TOILET Food was good. Service was satisfactory. In my experience, seats closest to toilet should be last used and reserved for parties without reservations not parties with reservations. Although they attempted to apologize after I complained, I asked why was a party with a reservation even placed at a table next to the toilets?
We have been coming to this restaurant for years and it’s been declining steadily. The table are so close together - it must be a fire code violation. An older gentleman with a walker had a very difficult time figuring out and hen navigating his way out. We ordered a pizza for the table. It covered a large plate. This used to be my go-to place for brunch before a performance at the Met. But yesterday the service was awful. We waited 15-20 minutes before our waiter came to ask if we wanted beverages or to take an order and that was only after we flagged down the Maitre'd to have him send the server over. When the food arrived (finally) after another long wait, it wasn't up to par. The side of sausage was over cooked and dry, my omelet was only OK. Food very mediocre some people could not even eat their dish.
We went here for breakfast and ordered a scrambled egg dish and an omelette. For the price, we were expecting something with a little flair or expertise. Both were uninspired. "Scrambled eggs and Sausage" was dried out scrambled eggs with a side sausage that had been split lengthwise and cooked on the grill. We felt ripped off.
Very unaccommodating service. Not willing to make small changes (e.g. type of lettuce, dressing) in menu items. Seated us in a back room with two tables. Although it was quiet, as requested, the wait staff completely forgot about us. Side of spaghetti was $7.00 for barely a cup of pasta. Very expensive. Disappointing meal.
I think it is overpriced and over rated. The waiters are cold and indifferent and not helpful at all.
Can you give less than one star? That’s what this place deserves!! Had to wait 15 minutes to be seated for a 6:00 reservation, waited 45 minutes for a pizza, which never came. Left and only explanation was “we’re very busy”. Completely uninterested in customers. Save your money and go to a REAL restaurant!
