Reserved the table way it advance, because we took my parents out to the Opera. It was their first time in New York. Also mentioned in my reservation that we would bring a stroller for our newborn. When arriving, the restaurant did not have a table that fit a stroller. The host actually started arguing that they usually do not accept strollers until he checked the reservation and my comments. They arranged a table next to the door where the waiters are going in and out. It was so windy at times that my wife had to leave afte... read more

Although the location of the restaurant across from Lincoln Center is the primary reason to go, the chaotic management is good incentive to choose another nearby place. Having booked a 6:15 pm reservation, we were not seated for more than 20 minutes, which is troubling when your opera tickets are for 8. Being provided free prosecco wasn't enough of an excuse for poor management. After the busboy spilled one of our drinks, it took forever to get a dry napkin. Our kind waiter was helpful in suggesting what selections would all... read more

Such a disappointment. For years, Cafe Fiorello was not just good food but an experience our small group savored before crossing the street for a Met Opera matinee. This time a sub-par brunch. On an earlier visit the complimentary mimosa offer disappeared. Not a big deal, but it had been a nice gesture. And this time ! This time, gone are the warm out-of-the-oven croissants and wonderful breads basket. Oh, that was sorely missed. The brunch downgrade is also reflected in the staff. Starting with the maitre d' desk, the sense... read more

Pedimos milanesa de carne y no había , pedimos milanesa de pollo y tampoco había . Trajeron primero un plato y 40 minutos más tarde el otro . Horrible experiencia . Me quede asombrado ya que en otras oportunidades fue todo muy bien .

We've been to Fiorello several times; it's one of the few choices for pre-Lincoln Center-event dinners; but this time we found it very unpleasant. It was extremely noisy an over crowded; the food was expensive and mediocre. The shrimp and octopus in the Warm Seafood Salad were tough and overcooked; the scallops were ok; and the remaining ingredients were a few potato cubes and some celery. Never again.

The restaurant must be very popular since it was packed at 5:45pm on Saturday. However, our party of 4 did not like it. It is difficult to walk around the place because the tables are so tightly spaced, and all were occupied. It was very loud and difficult to talk even at a table for 4. My Lasagna was good, and my wife's Wild Boar Ragot Tordelli was good. However, our 2 friends did not like the Seafood Risoto or the Rigatoni Marinara. It is an expensive area and the wine reflected that, about $14/glass. Next time we would tr... read more

I have been going to Cafe Fiorello since I was a kid and the pizzas seemed bigger than me. It had always been a great dinning experience from the food to the ambiance to the service. I totally get restaurants can have an off night or the kitchen can crash, but my last two experiences here have me unsure if I will go back. I went to dinner with my husband and daughter before a show at Lincoln Center. As I always do, we told the waiter that we had a curtain to catch so that he would be aware we weren't looking for a long leisu... read more
