The restaurant is horribly noisy for Sunday brunch. But I should have expected that. And service not good--they are so busy.
Ordered the brazino and the whole fish arrived, boned, on a bed of grilled vegetables and a tiny piece of lemon. No seasoning and over cooked branzino was a disappointment.
Very disappointed with service and presentation and the fact that one of pur party was assumed not to be with us and was almost not let in. He is African american.
Two members of our party ended up with severe, prolonged GI illness, likely due to the pate. In addition, the service was terrible, even for the low bar that they generally set.
I've had dinner at Cafe Fiorello and enjoyed it immensely but Sunday brunch was a truly awful experience. The service was incredibly slow despite multiple servers seemingly standing around doing nothing. My coffee was cold and the milk I was given was actually curdled. The main courses were over priced and fairly bland. I will not repeat....ever.
We went before and after my son's graduation ceremony which was held at Lincoln center. They open at 730 for breakfast and they wouldn't let us just sit and wait at 725. We had a 1:15 reservation. They ran out of chicken cutlets and chocolate mousse by 1:30. How are you not prepared knowing there are graduation ceremonies across the street? The waiter didn't give serving spoons with apps that we were sharing. They charged $14 for s small side dish of pasta.wouldnt go back there. Wouldn't recommend.
PLEASE DO NOT DISSEMINATE THIS REVIEW TO OPEN TABLE MEMBERS. OUR EXPERIENCE ON THIS DAY WAS ATYPICAL. PREVIOUSLY WE'VE ALWAYS ENJOYED OUR MEALS AT THE CAFE. WE WILL CERTAINLY TRY IT AGAIN DESPITE
Very poor service that made our experience unpleasant
We've eaten there many times, and find now that the menu choices and quality of food have deteriorated significantly. Probably will not return, even though it is convenient to our NYC apt. Sorry to part company with n old friend!
