Overpriced; ravioli hard (underdone) at the edges, cheek by jowl with obnoxious other diners. Desirable only because of proximity to Lincoln Center.
The only redeeming quality of this restaurant is its near Lincoln Center. They serve very quickly: but you feel rushed and the food quality shows it. Better go across the street to P J Clarks!
In my opinion, this restaurant is highly overpriced and not very good. I had the Baked Eggplant. A 10 year old could have done better. The only thing that saved this restaurant for me was it's proximity to Lincoln Center. My companions seemed to do slightly better with their pasta choices, but no one was raving.
Extremely busy - waiter was always friendly and courteous but was basically nowhere to be found when we needed him. Food was just ok, not the best Italian in NYC by a long shot. Biggest complaint though is that the tables were so close together that it made it hard to converse with the rest of my party. And someone at a neighboring table cracked open their lobster and a piece ended up on my table - gross.
I'm not one to write bad reviews as I just usually walk away and forget about the experience, but this one really was bad and I could not stop thinking about it. Not only is the restaurant very overpriced(based on a value system, not that im cheap, but the service was just plain horrible. In any restaurant, once in a blue, the waiter you have will make a mistake and spill your drink or over pour it. The waitress we had spilled and over poured 4 of our drinks during the dining experience from start to finish causing it to wet... read more
Ordered a salad which was reasonably priced. The menu offered shrimp as an add on. When the plate arrived there were 2 shrimp for $ 14.00 in the plate. Even a shrimp cocktail comes with a minim of 4 to 5 shrimp. They are way out of line!
Ate there with 2 other people at 5pm on a Sunday. All three of us had to pick a second entree because they had run out of most of their food. We also wanted the antipasto misto, but they had also run out of all of the vegetables we wanted & we had to pick 3 out of the 4 that they actually had. I hope they just missed a delivery or something because that's unacceptable. The service was great & the outdoor seating can't be beat. Hopefully the lack of food options was just a fluke.
We have been dining at Fiorello's for over 20 years and have always looked forward to our evenings. There's a lot of atmosphere and energy in the place, very New York! However, our meal last weekend was disappointing and over-priced. Hopefully this was a one-off and we may give it another chance. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and efficient.
we all ordered eggs benedict which were served with the eggs hard and overcooked. We sent them back and our dishes were returned with soft cooked eggs that were slapped back onto the original plates with cold potatoes and a very messy presentation. This was a first meeting with a new client on Easter. I was very disappointed.
