There is no space between tables and if there was a fire, it would not be possible to get out. They even add tables so a whole wall of people have to share an even smaller space.. Food is overpriced for the quality. Garbage in ladies room as early as 7pm was all over the floor and there was water in many areas on the floor. They take advantage of their location to the diner's expense.
None of the above. Service was very very poor. Food was good but overpriced. Tables too close together. A perfect tourist trap.
Very disappointed. The anti pasta bar which is usually terrific was extremely limit with only one hot selection - potato cakes. The caramelized fennel which is usually excellent was soggy.
Everything except the service was very good. We were seated promptly, a waiter came and offered menus and bread and rolls came quickly. That's all I can say that is positive. Everything went downhill after that. The waiter didn;t bring any water until we reminded him to do this, he got the order mixed up and one dish for a child wasn't prepared until we reminded the waiter that we were still waiting for the food. We orignally had time for dessert for thje two children but then we had problems. We had explained how we wanted ... read more
Cafe Fiorell on a Saturday night at 6 PM is not the sort of place you would want to be. Reservation in hand we fought our way inside the restaurant, waited in line for 10 minutes, then fought our way to be reservations desk to check on our reservation. Waited 10 minutes for a table. Our dinner was quite nice, as it always is as I frequently go there before the matinee MET. The place was so crowded and noisy that you couldnt hear yourself think. The people next to us kept screaming "I cant hear you," and giving us diry looks.... read more
Mediocre food. I would not go back again. It is only crowded with people because of it's location.
Noisy, tables very tight, $25 for average tasting pizza and pasta
We ate there during Fashion week around 5pm the service was slow, surprising becaus ethere was harly anyone theer until 6pm. Our waiter was not very helpful with the menu. Don't bother with the fried ravioli. We had the veal scallopini which was just ok, the spinach fettucini with bechamel sauce was also just ok. The only good dish we had was the buccatini with pomodoro sauce, a basic italian pasta done well. I wouldn't recommend this place and won't be going back
REVIEW We had reservations for 7:45 - a time when many people were leaving the restaurant to attend events at Lincoln Center. There is no waiting area and it was so overcrowded that it took almost 15 minutes to even get to the desk to give our name. There was a terrible problem with how many people were trying to get in and out at the same time and many people were mumbling that they'd never come back. After being pushed and shoved because there was simply no way for people to leave without gently pushing their way out we we... read more
