I went in to buy a nice used truck. Instead, some headache of a mircle happend that I drove off the lot with 2 vehicles that at the time thought would help out. Then once we went to fiancing that is where most of the sales and dealership people true colors came out. I received the jackel and hyde treatment. I was sold a lemon. I tried to get the dealership to pay for or reimburse my repairs. I was promised that would happen by Jordan and other staff. After many weeks of getting the run-around, I was finally told that I will not get anything reimbursed. There is still a fault light on. I stalled after driving at 75mph. Drove 6 hours to buy "internet special" to find the price was $4000 more than advertised!!! I had called from a dealership in Lordsburg, NM to verify price. Pete said that the only additional charge would be TTL and a $1750 Dealer Package. Dealer in Lordsburg said they couldn't sell the truck at that price. Pete said, "They don't know what we can do." My wife and entered in a contract to purchsae two vehicles. One was a 2013 F-150 the other a 2013 CMAX. We were very clear about have no out of pocket cash, and were assured that this was not an issue. They explained that I had approximately 2900.00 in rebates from extras I had purchased on one of my trade in's. What we didn't realize was that they had applied the 2900.00 to both contracts showing a cash down payment. Jose was great but unfortunately the service technicians apparently take no pride in their work. It has taken 2 visits and work still not completed.
I will never buy another Ford and I would definitely buy from this owner of this dealership that owns a few dealerships in the downtown Phoenix area including Showcase Honda which I bought two cars previously. Camelback Ford is the stereotypical "used car dealership" with their sales tactics. Never never never buy a new or used car from these people.
They lied about the price, and had to give us original quote (which they said they never gave us) when I brought in the paper that the used car mgr had written on. They advised the car had been serviced,everything checked out, car was cleaned and tires all replaced. When we got the car, within 1 week had to replace the brakes in the front. Within 6 weeks had to replace 2 fron tires--both worn on the part of the tire that faces inside, so it was not really visible easily.
