Room was not what I expected. Picture showed bed with sofa. There always no sofa
Hello I would like to request a refund for the stay at Candlewood suites, apon arrival we were dismissed from checking in. During the check in process I was not made aware of a 100 hold that was out on my card until after and was told that it was a requirement even tho it doesn’t state it in my confirmation emails. The room smelled of smoke and dusty upon arrival. The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful
We got two hotel room in Candel Wood . It is 8/10 mins walk to time square, however if you planning to stay less then 7 days no Cleaning service. Only limited water. We were not happy with our stay. Stuff was friendly but rooms were not clean. If possible we would cancel it but it wasn’t. Hope they can improve. Definitely not recommended.
Terrible internet and needing TLC This used to be my go-to hotel for long stays in NYC but it has really gone down hill in the last year. The internet was truly terrible and continually cut out and I couldn't get any work done. The staff is great but the place needs some TLC.
I chose this hotel as it was close to Times Square and had valet parking as I didn't want to worry about parking in New York City. When we first arrived, the valet parking already had a car in the designated area. My daughter went into the hotel to tell them that we arrived and that we were parked down the street. The lady at the front desk told her to put the provided parking tag on our dashboard and they'll go get my car shortly and in meantime we can go and bring our luggage inside. Do not recommend. Front staff was pleasant and helpful. No ice machine in the entire hotel, so staff went out to get ice. The heating and cooling unit was nonfunctioning. Mattress on the pull out sofa was completely stained and gross. Both TVs were almost impossible to watch because of static, Room phone to call front desk didn’t even have buttons to press, so it was nonfunctioning.
