We have a family member here. I am writing this review, while calling in to the facility. They do not answer, or transfer you to the wrong person which then disconnects you. We can not get a status update. Due to Covid ( not the fault of the facility) we can only visit through a window from outside. We confirmed that there is no attention given, and no "rehabilitation" taking place. Through the window we see our family member, alone, and completely ignored. There were a few clues that Canyon Vista Post Acute would be a bad ... read more

Normally in healthcare I hope for compassion, empathy, and professionalism. My mom received none. Backstory- she survived a quadruple heart bypass 2 years ago, and a kidney transplant this past November and then was hit by covid. After 4 months she worked her way to a SNF in hopes to gain mobility in her legs...She was transferred to this place on a Friday eve and started to compain of chest pains and numbness in her left arm and leg at 11a.m. after back and forth with nurses, nurse supervisor, and the awaiting doctor, ... read more

One hand doesn't know what the others doing! These guys put the three stooges to shame. Starting with the food - We're dealing with it "dietitian" who doesn't know the difference between Vegan and vegetarian -if that's not bad enough I had to explain it and break it down to her over the phone. I had to explain no fish no dairy no eggs no meat blah blah blah. Tofu, And/or any other meat substitute was acceptable as long as it's plant-based. Question How can you be a dietitian in charge of the kitchen and not know how to mak... read more

Well, don't ever send your family here. You can't visit to monitor their care. So after rashes, lying in soiled diapers for over 2 hours, and NO therapy my mother had the worst care. She regresses NOT progressed. 4 baths in 4 weeks. UNACCEPTABLE. Same food everyday. Chicken noodle soup, rice and hamburger. That's the only thing the cooks knew how to cook. Disgusting to say the least. Whoever is in charge doesn't pay any attention to what these lazy people are doing. just sitting at the nurses desk doing nothing. Medicare pay... read more

If there were a way to give a negative star I would. Whether their care is good or not it does not matter their business office is threatening, does not file insurance correctly, and does not abide by negotiated payments made with both corporate, and the director of the facility. They harass people for payment they are about the money not the patient care

I am really disappointed with the case manager. My mom is there for a broken hip and she has breast cancer. She was put into the facility on Tues and I informed them of an appointment she has Thursday with the oncologist. I was told the info would be given to the case manager and I would be getting a call. I have left 6 messages for Rae the case manager. who has yet to call me back and let me know if they will take her or if I need to. And its 5pm on Wednesday

I never would have imagined I would believe the negative reviews from this god awful place. When I read about them serving food that looked like dog food I said to myself of course not . When I saw it for myself, I couldn't believe it. When my Mom got discharged from the hospital I asked the Staff member the next day that she's requesting a bath, the staffs ignorance was just overwhelming, she said she had other patients to take care off and won't have time to give her a bath . Come Monday a another staff member came and sai... read more

I would like to know if it's OK for the CNA's and the nurses to be on their cell phones all night long while they could be visiting with or talking to their patients? They sit at the nurses station in front of the computer screen on their phones. Even when they are standing in the hallway with their tray they are on their cell phones. I will start taking notes with the names of those when I see them on their phones if necessary to prove what I see. I know that this will probably not be looked into. It seems that they ru... read more
