What Ever you do not go with this company, they are a total rip off, not only are their cust service agent rude, and dis honest, when I finally got my plan canceled, I was told to write in to and then within 30 to 60 days I will receive a refund, still no refund and its been 60 days, no follow up email nothing, I have emailed the supposive contact that I have, called him nothing no return calls, I have a file of emails I have sent. Gave me authorization to get a job fixed just for my car to end up parked in a auto shop for 7 weeks with the end result being denied service. Again i went 7 weeks without my vehicle due to their lack of communication towards me and the auto shop, plus stalling tactics. During this whole ordeal I paid my monthly payment twice, meanwhile my claim went inactive and unattended to. Purchased a full car inspection and was told everything was green and good. I get the car and it had bad gas so wouldn't drive high rpms, idler pulley was squealing so loud, and 2nd gear grinded at high RPM. Do not recommend them at all

I got the warranty a year ago Carchex), had not heard from them decided to call . by the time i got ahold of them told me the policy wasn't the one i supposed to have. wanted to charge me 3x more then i already had paid for a year. Nothing they told me was the policy i had. but that's what i thought i was getting so i tried to cancel but could't get anyone to ask about the policy. I wish I saw these review prior to purchasing the policy. Both claims filed by my mechanic were denied. In both instances the mechanic commented that the contract language Carchex uses is vague and is open to negative interpretation. So the customer, me, is left to feeling like this was a total scam. I will not suggest them and I likely will never sign up for any extended warranty in the future.

I bought my extended warranty a few months back and in July my check engine light came up so I took my car to the dealer for repair and they told me they need to replace the crankcase ventilation valve so I gave the dealer Carchex claim services number. first not quick service available for the claiment, secondly they denied my repair by saying it is PVC part and it's not covered in your coverage. So I send them the dealership receipt with the part number and part name which prove enough that the part is not a PVC valve. The... read more

There was no option to give less than one star or I would have. Was honestly shopping rates and they pulled a bait and switch on me. The first guy was nice and gentle and eager to help. While I'm talking he says he has just submitted my information to see if I can get any additional discounts. I would give these two companies a negative 5 star if it would allow it. These people at CarChex and ******************** are very shady and dishonest people. It's been almost 2 months since I bought their extended warranty and I still have not received my hard-copy contract as they promised. They are also filled with a lot of empty promises over the phone. When I had my first repair, they refuse to pay the appropriate labor rate that our local auto shops charge. Bought a policy through carchex and got scammed. My policy claim is denied because they think I run a construction business which is false have showed proof they have the wrong person and they just tell me since the decision was made by thr highest authority it cannot be overturned thats the excuse they gave me. I have pleaded with them about how they have the wrong person.
