Purchased a warranty on 12/23/2021. I provided the info regarding the vehicle. I noticed after everything was signed and paid for that the mileage on the contract was incorrect. Carchex had it reported at 96,549 when in fact it was at 95,879. I have called and emailed both the bill of sale and the odometer and no response or corrections. Don't waste your time or money with Chex. I called a few weeks ago because i never received my member card, so i gave them a call and this unprofessional guy answer the phone and when i told him my number he started talking to me crazy. I just laugh and let it go but i can tell that he talks to about 95% of carchex customers with a attitude. I purchased the Carchex Titanium Plus plan almost 2 years ago and have made my payments without fail. Over one month ago the covered car had the rear differential fail. I used Carchex's procedure to make a claim and that's when my frustrations began. The part wasn't available from GM, or any other supplier. I purchased my coverage months ago and this is the first time I've had to use my extended warranty. I purchased the Platinum coverage to include the electronical coverage for my vehicle. My wiring harness for my tailgate needs to be replaced. The cost is $950.00 to replace it. This wiring harness is for my all my lights on the tailgate including the back wiper and inside dome lights. The TLDR version is never, ever, ever use this company or ********************. -11/8/21 I took my truck to the dealer because of an issue (engine knock sound). -The dealer figured of the issue the same day and submitted the warranty claim. Engine lifters bad, approximately a $5k repair. -CarChex/*** immediately wanted to see my maintenance records which I supplied the same day. They tout that they're BBB accredited, and how you can get an instant quote. I filled out their form, have received no quotes and it's been 24 hours. They emailed me to tell me that they've called me, but my phone didn't ring. I'm starting to suspect either a scam or a plan to get me to call in to deal with high pressure sales tactics. They promised an instant quote, they have NOT delivered.
If you want to know if this service is good, read the reviews about canceling the policy, that's my case. I canceled the policy because I reach the mileage limit, called them, everything seems ok, but after that they attempted to continue charging me for the monthly premium. I called, spoke with a costumer service rep, he "transferred" the call to the right person and left me waiting online.
