BirdEye, Inc. has multiple positions available for Senior Director, Integrations in Palo Alto, CA and various unanticipated work locations.



Responsibilities

 

  • Provide strong leadership to the integrations team, including hiring and developing top engineering talent, setting performance goals, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. 
  • Develop and execute a long-term engineering strategy regarding integrations with various systems aligned with organization's goals and objectives. This involves setting technical direction, designing solutions for various integrations. 
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and advancements in engineering to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge. 
  • Continuously evaluate and improve engineering processes, workflows, and methodologies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality. 
  • Define the integration architecture and standards for the organization. 
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure that integrations are designed to be scalable, efficient, and secure, and adhere to industry best practices. 
  • Foster effective collaboration and communication between the engineering team and other departments, such as product management, design, and operations. 
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment and ensure clear and timely communication of technical information. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and partners to drive successful outcomes. 
  • Engage with senior leadership, executive teams, and external stakeholders to provide updates on engineering initiatives, present technical strategies, and seek alignment on business objectives. 
  • Act as a trusted advisor on technical matters. Optimize resource utilization and identify opportunities for cost savings. 
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with engineering projects, including technical, operational, and business risks. 
  • Develop contingency plans and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. 
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to engineering team members, helping them grow their technical skills. 

requirements

  •  Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field and 10 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation
  • One year of industry experience with each of the following skills is required:
    • Utilizing technologies, methodologies, and best practices relevant to the organization's industry including: real time Application development using Microsoft .NET and J2EE/Spring Frameworks, high performance real time cloud platforms like AWS and GCP, message queueing and processing using Open Source scalable technology like Apache Kafka and performance optimization using Redis, Aerospikeor ElasticCache.
    • Real time processing and instant feedback, scalable bi-directional integrations, data security and compliance, and infrastructure stability with zero downtime and comprehensive monitoring.
    • Collaborating with external vendors and partners to evaluate integration capabilities, negotiate contracts, and ensure successful integration implementations.
    • Developing and managing a budget, such as for a department, and forecasting expenses, tracking costs, and making strategic resource allocation decisions.
    • Data Warehouse, Data Analytics and Reporting using modern warehouse and data lake solutions.
    • Proven track record of optimizing Software Development Processes using unified modeling language and Agile Scrum and Kanban.
    • Experience working with different database technologies like Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, Sybase and Data warehouse /Data Lake technologies like Snowflake, and AWS RedShift.
    • Implementing Observability across the Infrastructure and managing devops and automation.
    • REST / Microservices API Design and implementation.
    • Software Architecture and Design Patterns.

  • Salary: $239,200- $250,000 /Year
