What You’ll Do

The Content Marketing Writer is responsible for creating and scaling best-in-class, insight-led stories. A creative B2B storyteller that uses insights as a key differentiator in stories. The right candidate is a strong writer with a demonstrated ability to create compelling content for thought leadership and brand visibility. This role reports to the Sr Content Marketing Manager and focuses on driving Birdeye’s content marketing program across a variety of core content assets that build Birdeye demand generation and thought leadership.


  • Leads the content writing for Birdeye’s core content marketing assets such as eBooks, Guides, white papers, case studies, blog posts, infographic instructions and more.
  • Serves as a chief storyteller for Birdeye, one who is able to shift their writing tone and focus depending on their audience or campaign objective, and who serves as an expert and example to others on showcasing the Birdeye brand and overall company/product vision & story.
  • Creates and revises copy quickly and is responsible to a number of internal stakeholders, including marketing campaign leaders; demand generation; product marketing; Birdeye sales and customer support and others
  • Leads an ethos of “clear and simple” writing throughout Birdeye marketing, and instructs others in how to achieve this. Is the go-to person within Birdeye for how to write, and write well, about Birdeye products, services and related market trends & ideas
  • Works with key team members to plan develop regular content cadence to meet creative strategies, content flow processes and deadlines
  • Writes frequent short-form copy for advertisements, social media and other bite-sized content assets, in keeping with Birdeye branding, style guide and campaign objectives
  • Helps to drive ongoing SEO improvements for content marketing assets, blog posts and resource pages (content upgrades, changes or customizations to CTAs, broken links/images, internal link building etc.)
  • Creates guest blog posts for backlinks, and is a contributor to the Birdeye blog on a regular basis
  • Creates content for Birdeye’s newsletters and website page updates as needed or requested


  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications Studies, English, Marketing, or a related field
  • 3+ years experience writing conversion-optimized content in a previous role, preferably in B2B SaaS
  • Have a broad understanding of content marketing, email marketing, and event planning
  • Excellent storytelling, verbal, and written communications skills
  • Experience in crafting clear and concise copy to drive business goals
  • Understanding of SEO and experience optimizing content for organic search
  • Experience working in and influencing cross-functional teams
  • Thrive in a self-starter, fast-paced and changing environment
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, SEMrush, and WordPress is an asset
