We are hiring an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to help us continue to grow by ensuring that our team is equipped with the necessary workstations and tools to succeed! You will be a vital member of our office by troubleshooting technology issues, installing and maintaining equipment and software, and working cross-functionally to support day-to-day operations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Thorough understanding of WAN/LAN troubleshooting and support using Cisco, Ubiquity and Ruckus wireless technologies
  • Work with various technologies including desktops, servers, printers, network peripherals, and network infrastructure
  • Assist with preparing new PCs (Windows and Mac) and network infrastructure components
  • Advanced Mac desktop support skills including Mac iOS setup and configuration
  • Knowledge on user life cycle management and experience in supporting OKTA , Centrify etc. tools
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop, administration and maintenance including Windows setup and configuration
  • Has worked with helpdesk systems and IT Assets management software
  • Knowledge of CAT5e / 6 Ethernet cabling requirements
  • Knowledge of AV equipment
  • Working knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Firm understanding of TCP/IP routing, sub-netting, and networking
  • Ensures overall compliance effort for the IT group
  • Maintains and executes on backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategy
  • Flexibility with occasionally scheduled projects during after hours and/or weekends
  • Travel to troubleshoot and maintain networks and relationships
  • Responsible for ensuring 24/7/365 availability of all business-critical technology assets

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Minimum of 4 years of IT experience
  • Expert with Apple operating systems + products
  • Degree in computer science, information engineering or adequate relevant experience
  • Possession of a Network Administration Certificate is required such as (MTCNA, CCNA, Network+, CCNP is a plus)
  • Familiarity with the following: Cisco products, Ubiquity and Ruckus Wireless products, Network Monitoring Tools, Active Directory, DNS, Telnet, DHCP, TACACS+ & RADIUS, Synology NAS Storage environment
  • Extensive knowledge of current IT technologies and various hardware platforms in variety of environments
  • Exceptional managerial skills, ability to plan and control multiple projects simultaneously, with various degrees of complexity and size
  • Strong hardware installation and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Strong personal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
