What You’ll Do:

Birdeye, a next-generation customer experience platform that reimagines how customer feedback is used to acquire and retain connected customers, is looking for a high-octane, seasoned leader with a competitive drive to build, manage and operate a best in class go to market sales team.

As a VP of Commercial Sales, you will lead the team, define our growth strategy and deliver outsized results. This leader is a key member of the sales executive team and reports to our SVP of Sales. You will play an integral role in the company’s high growth and the success of the sales organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Ongoing hiring, mentoring and development of the sales team which includes recruiting, hiring and training new members, coaching reps on strategy and technique for cold calling clients and following up on sales leads, and having consistent 1/1’s with team members
  • Define GTM strategy/playbooks to acquire new logos and expand our business across divisions/functions
  • Work closely with Sales Managers on outbound efforts and pipeline management
  • Accurately plan for and forecast sophisticated, long-term sales cycles which include net new and expansion opportunities
  • Lead the team through annual planning, modeling headcount, setting targets and monitoring performance
  • Refine and evolve a scalable, measurable and predictable process for running and growing the team
  • Provide weekly reporting on volume statistics, lead pipeline, conversion to qualified prospects, sales opportunities generated and campaign effectiveness to our Executive Leadership team
  • Partner with marketing, SDR’s, pre-sales sales ops, and customer success teams to align go-to-market message and execution

requirements


  • 10+ years of proven results, with 8 of those years managing national SaaS sales teams.
  • Experience in being a 2nd level leader required
  • History of managing teams selling to mid sized accounts & closing $80k - $200k ACVs
  • Experience defining a sales strategy and motivating teams to execute upon that strategy
  • Possess a high energy, strong desire to achieve top results with a positive “can-do" attitude over the phone and in-person
  • Operational rigor - hold your team accountable for operational excellence in CRM hygiene, forecasting and tracking to KPIs
  • Ability to navigate SFDC reporting, dashboards, and sales acceleration tools (SalesLoft, Navigator, Alyce, Chorus, etc)
  • A builder mentality; easily able to handle a fast paced, hyper-growth culture while keeping steady hand to drive team’s success
  • Talent magnet - demonstrated history of hiring top talent and working with them at successive companies
  • Can be based in Dallas or remote
