Job Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
5+ years of professional software support experience
Proficiency in Java or C++, and object-oriented design skills
Experienced in leading a team of 3-4 members
Application architecture and design patterns
Solid Cloud experience, preferably in AWS
Experience with monitoring systems
Experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet, cfengine, Chef)
Solid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python)
"Experience serving as technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle,
from conception, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing to documentation,
delivery and maintenance is preferred"
"Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards,
code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations"
Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
Provide 1st level support
Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
Investigates problem areas.
Follows the software development lifecycle.
Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programmin
Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
