Caring Hands wound up making a memorial donation in my cat's name to the Virginia Tech College of Veterinary Medicine. I only found out when I received a letter from the school. I really cannot say enough about this practice. I assume this is standard practice, but Virginia Tech is my alma mater and the thoughtfulness behind this gesture brought tears to my eyes.

I emailed CH about a problem with a prescription. Less than 10 minutes later I received a phone call with the problem solved. THAT is amazing service!!! Thank you!

Our former street dog really dislikes going to the vet and is listed as a "code red" because she does not behave. The staff at Caring Hands could not be more accommodating and patient with our scared pup. We had her scheduled to be sedated for a procedure like she had been previously at another vet and were happy to get a call a few minutes after we got home that she was all done and did not have to be sedated. I have been taking my corgi here since I rescued him and I could not be happier with my choice. Dr. Thornton is his veterinarian and she has treated him so kindly - my pup really trusts her, which is so nice to find! She is fantastic at administering vaccines and doing blood draws - I'm a nervous pet parent and she takes care of my pup every time he needs anything. ETA: I left a bad review last night, after the practice was closed, because that was when I got home from work. I was frustrated by what I perceived as a lack of concern from the practice. By the time I woke up this morning--before they opened--I'd received a response to my concerns. That's pretty amazing customer service. Honestly, I'm not sure how I could have resolved the issue personally, which is how I'd prefer to do these things, but barring that, that kind of response time is legitimately above and beyond.

The care here is absolutely the best. We love Caring Hands and our Rottweiler did, too. The staff is professional and kind with animals and humans alike and the facility itself is lovely. We unexpectedly put our incredible dog down five days ago and Caring Hands was so great. They took excellent care of him in his final hours, were patient with us while we made hard decisions, and gave us plenty of time with him before, during, and after we let him go. Could not say better things about this animal hospital, its staff, and our favorite Dr. Robinson. Unfortunately we moved and wow do I miss the impeccable service and care that caring hands provides. It's not easy to find elsewhere so don't take it for granted. We were new pet owners and everyone was helpful, patient, and answered any and all questions we had. I walked in the door with my listless dog in my arms. Immediately they brought someone to take her vitals and rushed her to the back and allowed, even encouraged me to come too. That's amazing! 4-5 ppl took immediate action and saved her life. I was so scared and they were so caring and focused. The team work and Caring they displayed of my beautiful Aussie Shepherd rescued her from acute and severe gastroenteritis. They stabilized her and the whole situation. This place is amazing! Everyone from entrance to exit was amazing. The front desk women are amazing! They were constantly interacting the dogs, easing my and my dogs nerves. So much enthusiasm and genuinely amazing customer service. The vet tech we had was amazing! She was so kind and perfect with my very anxious dog.
