Super caring business, everything was explained to me in detail, and my pup was comfortable the whole time! He enjoyed the treats and love he received from staff!

We brought our very sick 13 year old golden retriever to Caring Hands. They help us bring her in and immediately the vets checked her out. They explained very gently that our dog was dying. They moved our family and dog to the Caring Room. We were waiting on my daughter to arrive to say goodbye and were offered a sedative for our pup to alleviate at stress she may have been experiencing. These ladies were pros when my dog came in. He was very nervous to get his temp checked and our Dr. came back to give him his checkup. He felt safe enough to let me put him on the table for his check up. The assistant and Dr. were both so gentle and sweet to him and they even let me hold him with them when he got his shots. They are so very caring and sweet when it came to the whole experience.
Apparently they have a new computer system and they experiencing over bookings which they just realized today? or with my appointment? either way it may be worth calling ahead to make sure you have an appointment and that you won't have to spend an hour plus hoping you can be seen. I'm sitting wondering how they prioritize the people. I was very lucky to stumble upon Caring Hands Animal Hospital. I needed a same day appointment and got it. Our pup is ver nervous and the staff and doctor where very friendly and helpful. Great experience.
I Didnt even get my pet seen here, but just from the way NIni handled the phone call and her bedside manners made me wanna refer people there. I've been taking my two cats to Caring Hands Animal hospital for a few years. In April, I had to say goodbye to my 17 year old cat, and the vets and staff were amazing from start to finish. I was able to ask questions, get advice, make the decision, and then take my cat to a quiet, private caring room. I was checked on, given time to say goodbye before the procedure started, and talked kindly through the process as it happened. I had a great experience with this animal hospital. I took pity on a stray cat that was hanging around in my neighborhood and clearly need some medical care to get some treatment. Dr. Akella and the staff were absolutely terrific. They treated my little freeloading pal just as if she were a beloved pet I'd had for years. I'm so glad we found Caring Hands (Rockville) last year to help take care of our two aging cats (17+ years old). The staff is efficient and pleasant. The location is great with plenty of parking (in Wintergreen Plaza). And, most importantly, the care, services and communication provided by the Vets (especially Dr. Streck) have helped our pets survive some pretty serious issues and events.
