This place has really good late night food. Over the course of four nights I had many good sandwiches. They have a good choice of breads. The marble rye is fabulous. The service is great, the food is great. Personally I think the late-night menu has too many choices. Maybe it was the alcohol. They have breakfast choices and sandwiches and salads. We came here at midnight, if you have a player's card you can get the chicken fried steak and eggs for 3.99 anytime after midnight. It was delicious, we will definitely be coming back again during our stay. Great price. Good food.

Basically this should be 3 1/2 stars, but until Yelp gets it through their thick skulls that we want the ability to give 1/2 stars I have no choice but to over rate some places. Is Carnegie's a fine dining experience? Um NO! But it is always consistent and the service is very good. I ate there 3 times during a recent trip and each meal was solid if unremarkable. If you want a dining experience go somewhere else. If you want a quick bite to eat you can do a lot worse than Carnegie's.

Carnegie's Diner Car (Laughlin, NV - Inside the Tropicana Express) Carnegie's Diner Car is 24 hours, the food is inexpensive, and there's a lot of options. I had their Meat Lover's Omelet, which is stuffed with sausage, ham, bacon, and cheese. The omelet also came with a side of toast and hash browns. For less than $10, it wasn't bad horrible. This place was great! Sandy was our waitress and excellent service. The hostess looked really unhappy to be there, annoyed that we interrupted her conversation. I enjoyed the New York strip steak, cooked medium and it was perfect. The chicken penne was very savory and veggies cooked well. Warm Brownie with vanilla ice cream was perfect!

Ate breakfast here while in town for the Laughlin marathon. Ordered the basic Sunrise Breakfast with coffee and it was pretty much exactly what I expected. Nothing fancy or innovative (which is what I reserve my 5* ratings for) but definitely sufficient for what I needed. I didn't like the smoke from the casino, a bit off-putting while eating breakfast, but it IS inside the casino so what else did I expect, right? Service was friendly and food came out quickly. Service is wonderful! Best staff I've met in the casinos around here, and that is saying a lot, as I've had a lot of great servers on my long visit to this area. Food isn't bad, but it can be pretty hit or miss. Depends what you like or in the mood for. Standard diner fare open 24hrs, which is always great when you sleep all day and work nights. Great food and service! This second time was as good or better than the first! Very pleased. The steak burger was huge and messy just how I like it. The waiter was friendly and took care of me. Awesome job!

While staying at the Tropicana for the River Regatta, four friends and I decided to eat dinner at the café. Great service and serviceable food. I had the Cobb salad, which was good but terribly overdressed. (And, for some reason, it was topped with a large piece of lavash propped atop it like a shark fin!)
