When you first walk by this place, you want to keep walking... It looks like cheesy diner fare (and by that I mean 4am, you are drunk, and HAVE to eat now, and you're broke in Vegas-type of diner fare). lol. We came in here for breakfast and were AMAZED at the awesome service, huge portions, and how GOOD the food was. My dad and I both ended up with breakfast burritos, my little one had a special plate (she told the server everything that she wanted and she got exactly what she asked for), my mom just had toast and an egg,... read more

Eaten here a few times before, food is ok. I feel breakfast is best here as the lunch and dinner menu doesn't have a lot of variety. Wife had the club sandwich which was pretty good with home made potato chips. I had the fish sandwich, over breaded piece of fish with a small piece of lettuce, slice of onion, and a tomato. They did put a heaping portion of fries on the plate. Seems to have good specials just wasn't in the mood for any of them. Prices are fair, service was good, food was just ok.

Didn't have much expectations as I wandered around this food wasteland called Laughlin. fast food and one-star buffets and closed restaurants rule the roost in this town. This place, which is inside the Tropicana Express hotel, is desgned to look like an old railcar and you can sit in that side of the place if you want as well. I ordered the open faced turkey breast with gravy and mashed potatoes and surprise surprise, it was damn good. The turkey was the real deal, thick cut, and they were very generous with the slices. The... read more

I went to this restaurant yesterday (10/23). I ordered the pan Asian. It was basically a bowl of rice with a tiny piece of chicken. I went to go pay and have the bill charged to my room and the pen that the manager gave to me didn't work. I tried to have a little mark and before I tried to tell the manager, he literally called me illiterate to me. When I was filled out the rest of the information, him and a guest was belittling me about how I don't know cursive writing. This manager should be fired immediately if this i... read more

There's no way it should be a 30 minute wait to be seated when I'm by myself and 80% of the tables are empty. They are seriously short staffed and slow . You obviously have enough business because there was a group of 3 in front of me, a group of 7 in front of me, and a group of about 6 behind me that all walked away except the group of 3 that got seated, because of the wait. If you're staying here better to order to go. I was already downstairs and irritated so I just went to the poolside Café, which has really delicious br... read more

I ordered the Shrimp Basket special and was really disappointed. It only came with 4 extra small breaded shrimp and unexpectedly included 3 pieces of fish which I didn't order. For the price, the portion was tiny and didn't match the description. If you're craving a proper shrimp basket, I recommend checking out Aquarius or PT's at Edgewater. For $7.99, you get 9 large, delicious shrimp, fries, shrimp sauce, and a drink much better quality and value!

Business response:

Please accept our apologies for the disappointing Shrimp Basket special. Your concerns about portion size and incorrect items are valid and important to us.

Ate there twice. Both times ordered BLT w Fries. Asked for gravy for my fries and a couple of pickles. Great meal. Gravy fries are hard to find around here. Went back a third time. Waiter told me gravy was $3 and pickles were $3. Asked the manager why am i being charged for condiments. She said, "well you don't expect us to give away stuff for free.". Said they would only charge me $3 instead of $6. When I looked at the bill there was a $3 charge for peanut butter. Seems like the computer didn't have an entry for pic... read more

Food was not very good. I had the breakfast country fried steak. The waitress was really cold and downright bitchy. Coffee here sucks. Waitress didn't even bring me more water at all.

Business response:

Thank you for your 5 star review, Alexander. We're so glad you enjoyed the CFS breakfast. It definitely is a fan favorite. We look forward to your next dining experience with us here at Carnegies.
