As far as in-casino dining options, this place could be worse. That being said, we were not impressed with the food nor service. We ordered pretty standard diner stuff: meat and veggies, and a small salad. We also ordered pierogies, just because they seemed interesting. None of the food was that good, and the pierogies, an appetizer, came out as a dessert. WTF? Our server was lazy and seemed uninterested. We were seated by the door to the kitchen and we could see her just hanging out, talking to the other staff instead of r... read more

I was very impressed! I wanted something healthy to eat and that's not easy to find in Laughlin. While at the Tropicana, I asked a security guard if he knew of a good cafe with full menu. He directed me to Carnegie's. I selected a chicken and shrimp plate that came with rice and black beans and mixed veggies, all seasoned with lemon and herb. It was delightful! I ate every bite! A dish like that could have been served at a much more "upscale" place for twice the price. Loved the decor and the seating overlooking the action o... read more

We've been coming here for breakfast for many years now. Breakfast here is really good. Get the country steak and eggs, corn beef hash, and you'll be fine. The Reuben sandwich is pretty good too. Service is usually good.

If you're looking for a place that is: 1) Not crowded 2) Low key, nothing fancy 3) Open during after hours Then this is the place you're looking for! I ordered the Open Face Turkey Sandwich and it was awesome! The turkey slices were thick and the bread was nicely toasted. I was so pleased with my food that I came back the next night for dinner too! The service both nights was friendly and excellent. I will definately make sure I come here any time I'm in the area.

Not many choices in Laughlin, but always have a pleasant meal here. Breakfast and lunch are fine. Nothing great, but better than the fast food or buffet options. The tuna melt is a good choice..and the oatmeal is homemade and is a very large serving. If you want to sit down for breakfast, try Carnegie's

When you first walk by this place, you want to keep walking... It looks like cheesy diner fare (and by that I mean 4am, you are drunk, and HAVE to eat now, and you're broke in Vegas-type of diner fare). lol. We came in here for breakfast and were AMAZED at the awesome service, huge portions, and how GOOD the food was. My dad and I both ended up with breakfast burritos, my little one had a special plate (she told the server everything that she wanted and she got exactly what she asked for), my mom just had toast and an egg,... read more

Eaten here a few times before, food is ok. I feel breakfast is best here as the lunch and dinner menu doesn't have a lot of variety. Wife had the club sandwich which was pretty good with home made potato chips. I had the fish sandwich, over breaded piece of fish with a small piece of lettuce, slice of onion, and a tomato. They did put a heaping portion of fries on the plate. Seems to have good specials just wasn't in the mood for any of them. Prices are fair, service was good, food was just ok.

Didn't have much expectations as I wandered around this food wasteland called Laughlin. fast food and one-star buffets and closed restaurants rule the roost in this town. This place, which is inside the Tropicana Express hotel, is desgned to look like an old railcar and you can sit in that side of the place if you want as well. I ordered the open faced turkey breast with gravy and mashed potatoes and surprise surprise, it was damn good. The turkey was the real deal, thick cut, and they were very generous with the slices. The... read more

Ate there twice. Both times ordered BLT w Fries. Asked for gravy for my fries and a couple of pickles. Great meal. Gravy fries are hard to find around here. Went back a third time. Waiter told me gravy was $3 and pickles were $3. Asked the manager why am i being charged for condiments. She said, "well you don't expect us to give away stuff for free.". Said they would only charge me $3 instead of $6. When I looked at the bill there was a $3 charge for peanut butter. Seems like the computer didn't have an entry for pic... read more
