Initially purchased three windows for our bedrooms. The sales process and install were flawless. From initial order to the install date was 30 days. 5-stars!!! That all changed when we had to replace a bathroom window that was discovered to be leaking. Sales Rep came out to the house on May 6, 2021 and we placed an order for a single double-hung window with obscure glass. No problem right? WRONG! They had me sign 3 different contract asking for more money each time due to errors on their end. Made me take out a loan and took a downpayment from it, then wanted more money due more more mistakes on their end. Will not honor their contract. Now my credit took a hit with a downpayment that was refunded back to the ******** finance.Corporate does not stand by a signe legal contract. One way contracts.
I think Champion has good products. However any and all types of communications do not exists. I signed my contract April 2020 to have all new windows and siding installed. It only took them 1 year and 4 months to complete the job. It started when the salesman had me sign a contract then called me back the next day and said he made a mistake and that it was going to cost me another $9K even though it was his mistake and I already signed the contract. The whole reason I was getting new windows is because I live on a busy street and needed to help with noise and sun. I had double windows before. They told me they would replace the outside windows and I could keep the inner windows to help with noise as the new ones would cut down on sun and noise a bit better then the ones we had. Well they put the new outside windows in sliding the opposite direction. So now I cannot put my first set of windows back in. So I spent $4000. to make matters worst. We had them install a 4 seasons room. After we signed the contract, nearly every encounter with them was negative. During the build, they regularly made mistakes or tried to make changes to the design stated in the contract without notification or discussion. They drilled screws through my roof that they refused to pay to have repaired - I paid a trusted roofer to fix the damage they caused. Customer service is deplorable. Called in a service call before Easter 2021. Over 100 days any ***HING has been done. Service person came out - oh I dont have that color on my truck - be back in a week - no phone calls no service, no nothing. Wouldnt you be smart enough to look to see what color I had BEFORE coming to my house. Called numerous times - always get some excuse but no action.DO *** PURCHASE ANYTHING **** THESE PEOPLE NO MATTER THE PRICE.
Buyer beware. Worth noting that I got myself wrapped up in this which is why I'm suggesting you take your time and be more cautious than I was. ******** was kind, ********************** seemed like good value. Red flag #1: napkin math (what I call it when the sales guy doesn't have pricing sheets but rather writes a "big scary number" on the back of a paper then subtracts a bunch of "discounts" to get you to the regular price range anyway.
