The hostess wasn't attentive. The waitress was absent most of the time she didn't check to see if we needed anything occasionally.
The waitress at Chocolat was great but the food was just ok. Be prepared to pay high prices for small portions of mediocre food.
We went there for Father's day service was very slow I think one waitress left and then we didn't have a waitress for almost an 1/2 hour. And the section we was in had a lot of people so we all was looking for our waitress. I order mac and cheese and it came out cold. They bought me a replacement when I was already finished with my meal. I have been here several times and each time it not getting any better.
Both the waitress & the bus boy spilled wine & water on me respectively. They were very sloppy & should be more aware of their surroundings!
I've been to Chocolat only for brunch, this was my first weekday experience. My brunch experience was great; wait time was minimal, waiter was good and food was wonderful. So I was excited when my friend suggested this restaurant. Boy was that excitement quickly lost once we were seated at our table. We were rushed by our waitress, when we asked for the dessert menu, she had me reach over to grab it. the food wasn't that great. we have been to multiple Harlem restaurants and been very happy, this one was a disappointment. The Manager gave us his card and a 10% coupon, no need we won't be going back. Not once did he apologize for our service.
Hor..Ri...Ble.. The lack of food and options offered at this location doesn't qualify for a repeat visit. During my visit, on a Saturday night might I add, the waiter advised that they had "ran out" of my wine selections (please note the "S" at the end of selection) so a soda worked well for the night 😒. Management did a poor job of staffing kitchen. As a result, our breakfast was served in parts. As you can imagine, it's not fun eating cold breakfast. The wait staff had to keep apologizing. Management gave excuses and blamed the kitchen staff for late for. Unfortunately, kitchen was understaffed but received full blame. Chocolat's management was visibly correcting the wait staff but not offering help.
Sooooo I thought that this was an awesome place to bring my girls that reside in all different states. Since I've frequented the facility to have brunch with my colleagues and never had any problems, it was a no brainer to invite my friends to this restaurant. So the restaurant offers $12 unlimited mimosas and I am indeed allergic to oranges and cited that in my reservation.
