We have 3 cats so it was awesome that we found civic feline clinic that specializes in cats. Our cats would get freaked out hearing dogs barking at our last vet office, even if it was a separate entrance... Dr. Ellis has been a lifesaver LITERALLY on our 3 cats. She especially saved our little kitty's life when she did an X-ray and diagnosed her as possibly having a foreign body in her belly. She even called another doc to come and do an ultrasound on our kitty to confirm what she was suspicious of. It turned out to be... read more

Our cats are our "kids" so I can't believe my boyfriend and I ever settled for anything less than Civic Feline Clinic when we first moved to Walnut Creek. For the first two years in this town, we took them to another local vet and had just felt "meh" about this other place. I decided to make a change after learning more about Civic Feline Clinic and reading some of the very positive reviews they have. We've taken them to both Dr. Ellis and Dr. Roach and trust each of these doctors implicitly. Over the last few years we've h... read more

I highly recommend this clinic, specifically Dr Lally. My wife and I have two cats, the younger of which we rescued as a stray a couple of years ago. We took our other cat to Dr Lally when she was at another clinic. We now continue to take both of our cats to her, even though it's a farther drive. She is always very nice, very knowledgeable, explains everything, gives her honest opinion about what our cats need and what they don't need and gave us options when applicable. We won't take our cats to another vet, despite t... read more

I have no doubt that the care is probably really good, but their prices are really high! I have two 4 month old kittens that I brought in for shots. The normal charge is $62 + PER CAT just to walk in the door. The only saving grace was that I had adopted from a rescue, so they waived the cost of the first visit. I still walked out spending $220 for vaccinations and 2 feline leukemia tests. Oy vey. I will say that the office staff was VERY friendly and I received excellent customer service.

We had three elderly cats we loved dearly, rescued when they were kittens. They had their share of medical issues over the years. Two ended up with thickened intestine areas per the ultrasound that caused weight loss, diarrhea, etc. We never knew for sure whether it was cancer, or simple IBS because we chose not to do exploratory surgery/biopsies at their age but to keep them comfortable; steroids helped. But the doctors were always very straight-forward with us and gave us all of the information we needed to make sound ... read more

I loved my visit to the Civic Feline Clinic today. I called this morning, the receptionist was so friendly, she was able to get me an appointment this afternoon. Dr Ellis was so wonderful, she is obviously a cat person, and that suits me fine. She was so interested and sweet to my Lexi. We had to get her some chest x-rays. It cost less than I had imagined. That being said, the new patient fee was $64. A bit high in my experience, but after the service and care my Lex received, I would happily pay that over and over. I didn't... read more

The Civic Feline Clinic is the best vet clinic I've been to thus far for my two cats. They understand cats much better than the typical vet who works with all animals. The staff is wonderful, and they do all they can to keep costs down.

I love Civic Feline Clinic and all of the wonderful doctors and assistants. My beautiful black cat Pyewacket has been a patient since she showed up on my doorstep 7 years ago. This is the ultimate cat vet people. They are the most caring and kind staff you will ever find. I love the house cats too. Dukie is the best! Happy Holidsys to my friends at CFC.

So summary of a review I left: I basically said I didn't like the treatment by the front office staff. They have often been rude and bitchy when I am just trying to make an appointment or pay for my cat's food. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the doctors and clinicians who work here. I have had nothing but caring and gentle experiences with them, but the treatment by reception was so bad that I was considering finding another vet. I received a message from the owner and she was very nice and said that... read more
