I feel like I say this a lot, but I really do love this place. It's very sweet to go in and see the cute little kittens that have been saved and are up for adoption. My favorite thing of all are the 'house' cats it really gives the office a homey feel, and they could care less about the growling or whinny cat in the box you just brought into their home. Dr. Ellis is fabulous. My cats have never NEVER responded favorably to any vet. All the vets in the office are nice and compassionate people but my kitties really like Dr. E... read more
Very good, but quite pricey. Dr. Blaine is very personable, knowledgable and compassionate, and she's done a good job keeping our pets healthy. My main complaint is CFC tends to cost considerably more than other nearby vets for the same services ($170 for an X-ray!). The pharamcy they recommended to me (a local compounding pharmacy) was also 2-3X as expensive as a conventional pharmacy, so I'd recommend using your existing pharmacy, or finding a cheaper one online. Overall... quite good, but expensive.
I used CFC when I lived in Walnut Creek 10 years ago. I moved away and have returned to the area (sadly, my kitty died years ago). I got my aunt to take her very old and very sick cat to them for a checkup. They handled her (the cat and my aunt, haha) with tenderness and compassion. While we were there, I just took a quick look at these two little black kitties they had rescued and had up for adoption. I fell in love with them and the staff was so wonderful about holding them until I could come back from a trip and get ... read more
I live in Rockridge, so right away that should indicate that these vets are pretty great if I am willing to schlep my cats all the way out there for their feline medical needs (of which there are, unfortunately, many). When I first moved up here from Southern California, I asked a friend for a vet recommendation because my older cat needed her teeth cleaned. They recommended this place and I was frankly too lazy to look into finding somewhere else closer by, so I drove the 12+ miles out there. I thought the vets and vet t... read more
Brought my two cats in last year and just made an appointment for their yearly checkup. Everyone is polite and nice. My mean cat didn't even scratch or bite them. Thats a good sign.
Took my two cats here recently after moving here. The staff was professional, attentive and really courteous. And they have boarding, which is nice! Especially since you are boarding with a vet, so you know if your cat gets sick while you are away there are vets to take care of them. Would absolutely recco this vet to others for their cats!
Horribly and astonishingly arrogant and unprofessional people, from the front desk to the Managing Drs. They blame shifted their medically ignorant and neglectful malpractices onto me, the pet owner, and then just said, "sorry that happened to your cat"... Meanwhile, my cat is having grand mal cluster seizures 1.5 days after her annual visit for literally this exact issue, because they didn't give my cat the medication I dropped her off with that they prescribed her after diagnosing her with epilepsy the prior year! Business response:
Morgan, we are a Cat Friendly Practice, which means we prioritize feline emotion and anxiety when completing various treatments/services. Due to her high level of anxiety, sedation was recommended to lower her stress. Our veterinarian believed that we would not have been able to administer oral medication in the clinic even without the misunderstanding at check-in. It is unfortunate that we could not come to a resolution. It was only after you yelled at our staff and used profanities that we decided to end our client/patien... read more
After multiple unpleasant interactions with the receptionist with green hair I've decided to finally come here and leave a review. It's too bad because I would give this place 5 stars if it weren't for this person who handles so many of the clinics phone calls and the checking in/out of cat moms and dads. Before I continue I definitely want to say that Dr. Kuperman is a wonderful vet and she has been absolutely amazing taking care of all of my babies since day one. So this review is honestly to get managements attention t... read more

I was forced to come here again because my cat was seriously ill and my regular vet couldn't get us in. If there had been any alternative, I would have taken it without hesitation. This place confirmed exactly why I never wanted to return. The staff is astonishingly unprofessional. Not just indifferent, but actively dismissive and condescending. Every interaction felt like pulling teeth. Basic questions were either ignored, answered vaguely, or met with visible irritation, as though I was inconveniencing them. It was clear ... read more
