Since moving to WC both my Cats have been seen at Civic Feline Clinic and the few times they have been there (regular 6 mo.) regular check ups everyone has been very nice and the Vets are very informational. Everyone is very pleasant! I love that this place is only for Felines... they understand us Cat-lovers!
We have three cats and have tried a lot of the clinics in San Francisco. We drive from San Francisco to have our cats taken care of at CFC because we feel they are the most sincere, honest, and caring clinic we have ever found.
Well, like I said if I got another cat, I'd be back and I am. It's still the great place it's always been and I love knowing that my new little rascal is in the capable hands of Dr. Ellis.
All I can say is Dr. Ellis and the wonderful staff at Civic Feline Clinic saved Mr. D's life. They are absolutely amazing.!!! My Mr. D had been over-vaccinated at his previous doctor and was having a negative reaction to one of the vaccines. Mr. D's possible cancerous tumor was removed just in time. Through all of my tears and frustration, they were with me every step of the way. I never felt alone or left in the dark. I'm writing this review based on the experiences of my boyfriend (Mr. T) with the Civic Feline Clinic. Mr. T is a first time cat owner, and hadn't the slightest clue how to find a trustworthy vet. Yelp to the rescue! After searching for vets in our area, I printed out a list of 5 vets with the highest ratings. When Mr. T called for information about the CFC's services and prices, he found them so helpful that he didn't want to look any further. We've been so pleased with the care we've received for our two cats. Heck, we even adopted one of our kitties from Civic Feline Clinic! Care is great, prices are normal, and they offer high end food choices also at good prices. They know our names and our pets names from memory now--that's a nice feeling, too.
I feel like I say this a lot, but I really do love this place. It's very sweet to go in and see the cute little kittens that have been saved and are up for adoption. My favorite thing of all are the 'house' cats it really gives the office a homey feel, and they could care less about the growling or whinny cat in the box you just brought into their home. Very good, but quite pricey. Dr. Blaine is very personable, knowledgable and compassionate, and she's done a good job keeping our pets healthy. My main complaint is CFC tends to cost considerably more than other nearby vets for the same services ($170 for an X-ray!). The pharamcy they recommended to me (a local compounding pharmacy) was also 2-3X as expensive as a conventional pharmacy, so I'd recommend using your existing pharmacy, or finding a cheaper one online. Overall... quite good, but expensive.
I used CFC when I lived in Walnut Creek 10 years ago. I moved away and have returned to the area (sadly, my kitty died years ago). I got my aunt to take her very old and very sick cat to them for a checkup. They handled her (the cat and my aunt, haha) with tenderness and compassion. While we were there, I just took a quick look at these two little black kitties they had rescued and had up for adoption.
