They gave me an appointment for the same day because I was too worried for my cat (it was saturday noon). They were professionals. Dr. Regina explain me everything.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Civic Feline Clinic is the absolute best place we have ever taken our cats. We have a kitty with a chronic condition and Dr. Melanie Ellis is a genius with him. First of all, she is extremely knowledgable when it comes to medications. She has tried a variety of cocktails for our baby, which have all worked as temporary solutions, but as she says, "I'm greedy. I want the cure." She is relentless when it comes to finding a permanent solution for our guy. She clearly loves cats with... read more
brought my cat in about six months ago because he was having problems urinating too much. CFC was great. diagnosed him with diabetes and after a month or so on insulin his blood sugars are normal and i can control the diabetes with diet. the doctors and staff are friendly are really care. i've used them twice now to board my cat as well and it was awesome both times. highly recommend Civic Feline Clinic
Three and half years ago after losing our 17 year old cat Sadie, I decided it was time to adopt a new kitty and that's when Lexie came into our lives. Of course my first call upon bringing her home was to Civic Feline clinic to schedule her for her new kitten well baby check. Dr. Ellis checked her over from head to tail & gave me great advice on the ins & outs of kittenhood. At 8 months old, Lexie began to have seizures. I was panicked and heartbroken. Dr. Ellis was wonderful, explaining what she thought was going on and s... read more
We recently took our newly adopted senior cat, Mochi, to get a check up and discuss some issues and get a test done. On the phone trying to make an appointment was easy and they were very accommodating to our last minute request on a Saturday. Our vet was very nice and helpful with giving us advice and even noted that what we thought was a Maine Coon mix may actually be a Norwegian Forest cat mix instead. After our visit, which ended up being on time, we ended up getting a follow up email with additional suggestions for sol... read more
I was introduced to Dr. Ellis with CFC from a friend who's cats are also patients here, after my cat's normal vet (of 7 years) and Sage ER in Concord, wanted $8k for "exploratory" surgery on her small intestine, which may or may not be the issue or heal her. Thankfully Dr. Ellis was able to do a biopsy without surgery, and it was determined to be a bacterial infection, that was treatable with a simple penicillin shot. Unfortunately during this time, we also discovered my cat Weenie also had abnormal cells in her kidneys. ... read more
We love Civic Feline Clinic! All the doctors, but especially Dr. Ellis were so wonderful when our kitty started losing weight suddenly. They sprung into action and got our girl on the road back to health in no time. We appreciated that Dr. Ellis explained everything to us until we were totally comfortable (for example, we had to learn to use a feeding tube for a few weeks), and that she gave us options for treatment, as well as her personal recommendation. We've been to other vets before, but love that Civic Feline is 100% f... read more
I have been taking my furbabies to CFC for over a decade. Office staff is terrific and the Docs are, too. I have had to make only "one way" trip to the vet with them and it wasn't planned (I thought it was thyroid, turned out my Beau had thrown a small blood clot and then a larger one while we were at the vet.) I was devastated and they were amazing. No one rushed me to make a decision, many options were given (thank you Dr. Roach) and after Beau crossed the Rainbow Bridge, the staff stayed with me and then gave me the o... read more
So a note to my previous review that accused Feline Cat Clinic to be expensive - I was wrong. In terms of my previous review and the quote of$500 for cat teeth cleaning I thought expensive - in all fairness to FCC- that is the NORMAL rate for Walnut Creek. I checkedALL the reputable facilities in the area and FCC was the LEAST expensive. For a cat cleaning with lower being no extractions - the range has been 800-2200 - the later being a lot of extractions!!! The one star missing is still from how I was treated last time I wa... read more
