Want to give a shout out to Ahmad #439, the Coit guy who arrived at the house in Antioch about a week ago to do a silk sofa light cleaning, and give some estimates for other work. He was friendly, professional, courteous, well spoken, and an all around good guy. Took care of the problem quickly and efficiently. An asset to the Coit company in every way. Thank you, Ahmad!

COIT send an air duct cleaning person who spoke no English. He could count to 10 though! When he had completed the cleaning, neither the AC or heat would turn on. His cell phone received no reception at our home in San Rafael. Since he spoke no English, it was impossible to help him log onto our network. Finally I had to let him use my cell phone to call his tech supervisor, who finally talked him through re-activating our AC and heat.

Simple request to clean a hallway stairs carpet in an SF apartment building. Parking issue out front made for a "no can do" response by technician who came out in the van. That lead to a complete lack of understanding by "dispatcher" to work out a solution to the parking issue with the fire department across the street, horrible phone-in automated answering system phone-in service. Ask for a written estimate up front. They charged us $1,385 for a very small project in our basement that took two guys 26 minutes. They told me 3 weeks after the fact when they sent the invoice that there is a 4 hour minimum which was never communicated to us beforehand and they can't point to any pricing on their website or in their contract that indicates a 4 hour minimum. They also included a $95 equipment rental charge but used no equipment. They're now threatening to send me to collections after 30 days while I'm tryin... read more

While the individuals who came to clean the couch were professional and nice, we did not have a good experience overall. COIT had to come three times to clean our couch and attempt to fix the cleaning from the previous first cleaning. At one point someone came to just wipe it with a towel, which definitely did nothing. When they say 100% money back guarantee, its not accurate at all. Set up appointment to clean bathroom after initial inspection. 2 weeks later they show up at 330pm and say they cannot do the work.

If you are assigned Jorge as your lead contact, hang up and call a different restoration company. He lacks empathy, is curt, and doesn't answer all your questions once you are signed into a contract with him. In addition, when you press him to answer all of your questions, he becomes rude and condescending. The crew that actually did the work (not Jorge), on the other hand, were knowledgeable, efficient, and helpful. Showed up 4 hours early with no advance notice (8AM on Monday). No apology or acknowledgment of inconvenience. Then looked at the vents and said they couldn't clean them due to them being "unusual" after the initial inspector had approved.

Honestly, if Coit wishes to be a community favoured cleaning and restoration service in the Bay Area, then it needs to adopt a stronger sense of community spirit! It's Friday evening and the Coit van is parked on Fern working on a project at a home on Sutter. Their equipment in their van has been running non-stop since early evening as dusk fell.
