Hard to use but emails look professional and modern One of the strongest things about Constant Contact is that the library hosts photos on a custom page so that I can use the photos in other platforms which don't accept uploads. On our website for example, we have all of our camp yearbooks linked to Constant Contacts library where the compressed yearbook images live. It's been great to have a site to host like that. Used for 14+ years I'm happy with it -- I've used it for 14+ years. Pros There have been many improvements over the years, and the functionality, for the most part, works really well for our need. We're sending 3-4 emails out each week. Layouts look nice and are easy to update, and mobile/desktop designs look good. Cons There's been an ongoing glitch with misspelled words, where you have to manually edit them (the system will delete the entire paragraph if you try to click on the red line to autocorrect). Constant contact consistently works it has brought additional business on a consistent basis to me. Pros ease of use, set it and forget for the most part Cons ability to stay in constant contact with both clients and prospects.
Industry Standard, Fairly Easy to Use Pros Overall Constant Contact is easy to use. The List management and creation of emails is straightforward. Cons Needs more options for customizing emails, but I would worry that it would become not user-friendly as well. The social media management could use a big overhaul as it seems like it does not do what most other SMM software will do.
If You Just Want a Good Email Newsletter, Look Elsewhere It was a good product 10+ years ago, now it is outdated. Pros When I first started using Constant Contact, it had a good product for the price. Now, it is expensive and the email newsletter templates look dated. I did not use any of the other features besides email marketing, so maybe those other features are great and are worth the price. Great for artist to get customers I love the access to the logo maker and the image library. It is so convenient. Pros I love using this program for email marketing for my art business. Cons I am just using the free trial but if i were to buy the package $20 a month is a little expensive for my small business.
Good tool.. easy to setup and use! Overall we really like the ease of sending mailings through Constant contact. We really like having our lists integrated with our internal database of contacts and it is always current so we dont have to manually remove/add users. Constant Contact - good product I enjoyed Constant Contact a lot. It was easy for everyone to use, not just someone with computer skills. Pros I enjoyed the templates, the ability to schedule ahead of time to a group, then to schedule it to auto resend if unopened. Emails looked professional. It did not send to the same email twice. Cons Price was a deterrent moving forward, but we did use this product for over 10 years.
Useful, Consistent, Not Always User Friendly In general, I prefer Constant Contact over MailChimp, but it could be because I'm used to it (been using it for 10+ years) and because it's cheaper for the amount of contacts we have. I also like that I can do surveys through it. MailChimp also didn't seem any more user-friendly than Constant Contact when I tried to work with it a few times.
