In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Their mission was simple: create a fun and friendly atmosphere where the local community could enjoy huge portions of home-style cooking at a reasonable price. Today, we continue their mission at every Black Bear Diner across the country, as we passionately provide guests an outstanding experience. Our menu offers comfort food classics, and our entire menu is offered all day long. Whether you are craving pancakes at 8 pm ... read more

There's nothing family-friendly about a restaurant that deceives its customers and supports animal cruelty. This place drastically downgraded its cage-free commitment, supporting the cruel caging of countless birds. I'll be boycotting. https://youtu.be/mt4yFGa7Ar4
Restaurant was extremely dirty food on carpet dirty tables . Food was cold , eggs tasted like they were cooked in a microwave. Waitress was rude and only came to our table to take order and deliver cold food . True one star restaurant and worst food I’ve payed for
🤮😡🤮I don't recommend eating here. They don't have a cage-free egg policy. I'm baffled that a company would still support animal abuse. Many consumers, especially younger consumers, care deeply about animal welfare. If you want to stay relevant you need to improve your animal welfare policy and go 100% cage free.
It has come to your customers' attention that you downgraded your cage-free egg policy from 100% to 65%? Please reverse this as soon as possible, thank you. www.BlackBearBetrayal.com #BlackBearBetrayal
Last time I went the potato’s were cooked in burnt oil, very inedible. They replaced my potatoes with hash browns and sadly those were cooked in the same burnt oil. I usually love this place but idk why they would even serve poop like that.
We like to drive from Mesquite, NV to the Washington, Utah Black Bear Dinner and have always had wonderful service. Today was a different experience. Front person didn’t acknowledge us so I asked if we could seat ourselves and she rudely told us to wait. Once seated we waited for 10 minutes only to have to flag a waitress down who rudely told us she was not our server. By that time my 78 year old father got up to walk out while I waited for the manager. Young gal @25 who said we came at shift change so that was our problem, ... read more
Hire a cook for the Riverton, Utah store and some attentive servers. I love Black Bear but recent experience makes me wonder if I will ever go back. Pancake not fully cooked in the middle and the hot link so burnt it was dry, coffee was at the best luke warm. Slow service: after being seated took 20 minutes to place our order then had to ask for pancake I ordered from another server, she acted all put out over it rather than just get it said she would find our server but about 10 minutes later she brought it out sadly like... read more
Feel sorry for the owner I'm waiting on a to go order as, I watch money continuing to walk out because of tables not being bust down.
had to ask for napkins, then had to ask for silverware. only served half my meal. had to reask for the rest, after I was already done with first part
