Do not use their website to order!!! Attempted to order from the Sandy, UT location. We have several gift cards, but the web order tool said we couldn’t use them. So, we used a credit card. It kept stating the card was declined. We tried 3 times. Well, I checked my credit card account and there are 3 charges from Black Bear Diner! Now I need to get them refunded. We also attempted to call the Sandy location over and over again but could never get through. We kept receiving an automated Verizon message. We understand there ... read more

Just walked out of black bear diner because my daughter was eating a hamburger salad and had a dead cooked roach on the pickle, she so upset and disgusted the California Ave restaurant in Bakersfield ca

the food and service was awful and as if that was not enough the server had the audacity to add a 35 dollar tip to my ticket on a 149.00 bill . Which was not on the bill he brought to my table but added at the cash register.. Very unprofessional. But I will be disputting the bill in the morning with my bank. I will never ever go to this place again worst dining experience I've ever had ... oh and it took anhourcand half to even get our food and then I couldn't even eat mine because it tasted like a bottle of salt!

Needs to be investigated. I have had good experiences in the past. 1st it took a few minutes to be seated (no big deal) 2nd we asked for straws and the waitress brought back two plastic straws opened and not in the wrapper. Looked like they were cleaned but used. I would not think someone would give us used straws so we used them 3rd saw a guy walk in with straws in wrappers. Terrible service. I got my burger in like 3 different parts. By the time I got the last part 20 minutes had passed and my burger was cold. When we asked to take the “deluxe” part of the burger off since it was never arriving we were told to just take it in a to-go box. Another guest in my party had ordered onion rings instead of fries and after asking 3 times they finally got it when everyone else was done eating and ready to go. Megan should be fired. please hire a REAL manager. She should not be giving out advice or tryna tell me what I need to do. My son and I have been tryna get a letter he doesnt work there anymore for MONTHS. Yall are too incompetent for ONE letter because theres never a manager on duty. smh

we are in the middle of a pandemic, and this local BD is reusing paper menus. They are cheap paper menus... throw them out for the health and safety of your guest.

manager is rude and yells at employees, very scattered and he was the sole reason we will never be back. staff was great, manager was a trainwreck.

Arrived and was put on a waitlist being told that it would be a 25-30 minute wait. Checked our wait status after 37 minutes and got a notification stating “sorry, your reservation has been canceled”. We will NEVER be back! Absolutely ridiculous.
