where to start...newly opened so busy on a Sunday Morning, I get it and understand. what I do t understand is food served barely warm, the sausage patties burned on one side served good side up, a manager..server and cashier who ignore a customer when asked "how is everything?" replying with a tone.."it's alright" and their response is thanks. Service was very mediocre. Server Zach was very rude and offered a piss poor attitude. Food was cold upon arrival and orders were wrong. Second attempt at eating here and the service has not improved in regards to the food. I tolerate lots of issues but all because you’re having a bad day should not cause anyone to offer poor attitude.

Black bear Diner open in Olathe ks last week and it is chaotic. I understand that it just opened but they can not handle the traffic, let alone work the machines. I ordered the black bear french toast to go. I understand its deep fried which sounded amazing but when I got my food why was the dough inside not cooked all the way?? I could still taste the yeast. Not very good. Only good thing was the bacon. It was delicious.

New restaurant so slow service is kind of a norm these days. The food is what I really didn’t care for. I had the scramble, biscuit split with an egg on each and a sausage patty with gravy and breakfast potatoes. Potatoes were the best part. Gravy was scarce and the sausage was flat out nasty. I’ve never tasted breakfast sausage like that before. I’ll leave it up to my wife if she wants to give it a try, I joined my folks for breakfast that morning. If my wife doesn’t want to go, then I won’t be back.

Diner salads consisted of a bit of lettuce with a huge piece of the core of the lettuce halved and placed on the plate. This happened on the two salad brought to the table. Then as an added bonus the black bear must have been dishing up the salads as a big black hair was displayed proudly on top of one of the salads. The food was average at best and over priced. Staff appropriately. On a Saturday night at 5:30pm, a 20-minute wait to be seated when more than half the tables are empty.

Worst restaurant experience in my life ! It took hours to receive food that was wrong for 3/4 of the group of 8 of us , and one person never got their food until we were leaving , 3+ hours later . No apology , they did not care - at all . Complained to corporate , they cared even less - no response . Please tell friends to avoid this place, everyone else does it better .
