Please don’t remove the “Welcome to Bearadise” statue from Paradise. That giant bear stands as a memorial to our resilience. It would be a shame to lose it.
Business response:
Our Sentinel Bear will always be a symbol of hope - no matter where he is at. The town of Paradise has many years of re-building ahead of it and we just want our bear to be in a secure place while the town focuses on it's people, infrastructure and bringing Paradise back to the beautiful place we all know it to be!
they wanna take the bear out of Paradise.. I will never eat at black bear again if they do. the bear needs to stay!
Business response:
We're sorry to hear how upsetting this is to you Chad. Our decision to move the Sentinel Bear is so he can be in a secure place while the town of Paradise rebuilds. This has been devastating for so many people and we hope that you will come to understand our concerns.
Food is great. I am not sure why management is choosing to move our Bearadise sign. It should be donated to the town if you don’t plane to rebuild. If you plan to rebuild leave it there. It’s a symbol to the people of paradise. Please leave it where it belongs!
Business response:
We are moving him to a secure place while the town of Paradise rebuilds. He has become a symbol of strength and hope amidst the devastation - no one can take that away from us Chelsea.
There was a time when I would say yes, but recently BBD hurt the town that supported it. Paradise, Ca’s massive fire took the diner that Paradise had supported since 2007. What remained was its massive bear named Bearadise. The bear represents the resilience of the town, how it stood so strong amongst the debris. Big Bear has chosen to take the bear to another town instead of donating it to the town that is trying to rebuild and stand strong. If they do not want to be part of the rebuilding process, allowing the bear to stay... read more
Business response:
Black Bear Diner and our Paradise Franchise Partners have made the decision to move the Sentinel Bear to Mt Shasta while the town of Paradise rebuilds. We understand that he has become a symbol of hope and strength. We also know that no one can take that hope away from you or anyone else! The decision is based on his security and the bear can come back at any time.
I’m very disappointed that the mgmt is choosing to remove our Paradise bear. If you don’t want to rebuild in Paradise you could AT LEAST donate this iconic bear to our town as a reminder of the resilience of the people who survived the Camp Fire. https://www.paradisepost.com/…/bearadise-heading-to-mount…/…
Business response:
We are sorry this disappoints you so much Ginny. We are moving the bear to a secure location -- our Mother-Diner in Mt Shasta while the town of Paradise rebuilds. For as many who are concerned about his moving - many were also concerned about him staying in the burned out lot by himself. Our franchise partners in Paradise will let us know when its' time for him to come back :)
I have been there twice, first time was with work. I decided to take my 17 year old daughter to breakfast today in Puyallup. We ordered two chicken fried steak meals and it took over 35 minutes to get our food. The restaurant was not busy at all. It was frustrating that our server blamed it on the kitchen instead of just owning and fixing the problem.
Business response:
We’re sorry to hear your experience at Black Bear Diner wasn’t up to snuff. We work hard to make sure every diner leaves happy and satisfied with delicious food and great service, and when that doesn’t happen, we want to know about it! If you don’t mind taking the time, please private message us your contact information and my manager will be in touch with you.
This is what my food looked like when it came to my house.
We are done with Black Bear Diner! This is the second time at two different locations that we have had to return food due to hair in our meal. This time at the Riverton Utah location. Couple this with the mediocre at best service and the unwillingness of management to address these issues, we will not be back. Oh I also left out the 2 cases of the s***s we encountered shortly after dinning at the same 2 locations. Done with Black Baer Diner.
Business response:
It would be hard to feed your inner bear like that :( Please private message us your contact information and my manager will be in touch with you.
I’ve driven by Black Bear Diner for years, and finally decided to try it for breakfast. I ordered Bear’s Choice — two eggs, sausage links, and French toast. Now, I didn’t go there to complain, I went there to eat. I’ll eat almost anything. However, the butter was frozen. The eggs were cold — not just cool, but cold. The sausage was lukewarm. The French toast was warm (until I applied the frozen butter.) I’m not going to be “that guy,” ruining someone else’s day ... but I won’t be back.
