I went to the dealership to purchase a 2015 Lexus is IS250 and possibly trade my older Lexus IS250. However, I walked out the door when my trade in offer was $1500, where two other local dealerships and Carmax offered me in writing $6000. Very big difference in trade in value. In addition the price you see is not the price you pay...there is additional dealer prep fees of approx., $1780 on top of the list price. What you see is not the selling price.
Well the experience started off pretty rocky from the start. I was supposed to meet Carson who disappeared and no one was able to find. So I was lucky enough to get Henry who was absolutely awesome. Everything was going fine until the financial guy Sal came out and starting being very insulting towards my daughter and I. Which he proceeded to tell us several lies afterwards. The salesperson was great. I provided a list of "must haves" and 'nice-to-haves" for a particular vehicle and he quickly found the 99.5% correct one (in stock). After I drove it, it was 100%. The back office, not so much... Although I went in with approved financing, I went with theirs, as hey gave me the price & rate within my range. BUT, they messed up the formatting on the paperwork and asked I return. I live an hour away and they not only topped up my fuel tank, but also provided the floormats missing from my vehicle. Do not shop here. I am a long time Nissan driver and will never buy from them again. Both the sales and finance are very dishonest. I found a Rogue I liked based on color and the price was comparable to the normal Nissan dealership I shop at. When we went in to talk price they came back and told us they wanted 18% interest. We laughed because we came in with a preapproval from Capital One at over half that rate. They said Nissan could match it and we said they could try. I found the perfect new truck on the Crest website listed at a good price. I confirmed availability with Mike the sales manager and drove 45 minutes to see it. The salesman was knowledgeable and did a good test drive so I decided to buy it at the price they advertised. Then came the bad news, there is another $2500 on top of the advertised price for "window tint and paint protections." The Finance guy tried to explain that I just didn't understand, "all dealerships add these fees." I am 56 years old and I've bought enough... read more
