Get directionsI'm going through the same thing right now, that it seems so many others here have, as my mother lay dying. She is in tremendous pain whenever she is moved. Her limbs are contracting, her muscles are seizing up, she has not eaten in 13 days and has not had any fluids in 5 days. All I'm asking is: Give her a little bit of pain medication before they move her whenever they have to shift her around or clean her. Her doctor said to ADMINISTER AS NEEDED in his notes!! No one will listen. My heart is broken. Hospice say... read more

During the most emotionally distressing time of my life - when my family needed support the most, this company piled on distress, disregard, and disrespect. From a misaligned interpretation of Do Not Resuscitate on their forms (traumatizing), to allowing for pain and sores to fester and grow, to their cultural irresponsibility to send a Jewish chaplain knowing that we are a deeply devout Christian family - unconscionable. We fired them within the first week. They still haven’t picked up their equipment and probably de... read more

My family and I debated about the decision to select hospice. That decision alone was traumatic. Then the decision to select an agency was taxing but we did it. Crossroads added more levels of stress because we had to keep following up as we experienced disappointment with the level of care and lack of attention to our loved ones urgent needs. The patient was not the priority. The staff of Crossroads rose to the top of priority as we had to navigate through the role of the receptionist asking the nature of the calls (who i... read more

The Saint Louis office is horrible, awful, inattentive, company, all of the nurses that were good were temporary, the regular nurse was terrible, refused to even assess my family member, left him in tremendous pain, management is always unavailable and unresponsive. I wouldn’t let this company provide care for my dog. Just horrific!

One word: RUN! The St. Louis office literally dumped my mother at the ER because I wouldn't give $16,000 to a nursing home they placed her in that I felt was dangerous to her health. I expressed concerns about the way this company handled communications about the issue and they terminated my mom from hospice and refused to return anyone's phone calls - doctors, social workers, etc. They told other nursing homes and the hospital I had been uncooperative. I never raised my voice or threatened anyone. The company's clinical dir... read more

The woman we spoke to in administration initially was told that I was not terminal but severely disabled and chronically ill. Their website, and others, specifically say palliative care is used for non terminal patients to give some quality of life where there is little or none. they sent a nurse to our home to assess me, during a pandemic, after being told my mother is also battling lung cancer, where i sat in a situation that exacerbates my condition for a half hour receiving unsolicited medical advice and eye rolls from... read more

The memphis branch of this company is terrible! They took my uncle to the hospital from his long term healthcare facility because he is starving and dehydrated yet somehow no one caught that!? Please tell me how!? We have an obviously incompetent hospice nurse from this company that goes once a week and she said he was fine this week. How is a man literally starving and dehydrated for MONTHS okay? She said he was just sleeping alot more lately, no cause for concern. Said he was eating and drinking plenty. He is pretty much u... read more
