I spent 6 1/2 weeks at Crystal Cove Care Center recovering from a fractured pelvis. This rehabilitation hospital is very clean and attractive. There is a large outdoor patio with awnings, large umbrellas and abundant seating that I enjoyed very much. The best part about Crystal Cove is the personnel. They were amazing! All of the therapists, nurses, doctors, etc. were more than friendly and always made me feel very comfortable. The therapists are very experienced, professional and patient. I have been doing online research for rehab centers and elderly facilities, and I noticed Crystal Cove has some low star reviews. My grandmother was sent here to rehabilitate after a stay in the hospital, and I feel this place deserves a much better rating. The lobby is beautiful, and I'm always greeted cheerfully when I visit. They have an on-site hairdresser, and my grandma's hair looks better than ever (which is very important to her!) My uncle was admitted to Crystal Cove R.C. earlier this year. He had severe Down's Syndrome and Alzheimer's Disease and had recently been admitted into hospice care. He was cared for by the sweet staff for several months until he passed away yesterday. In all that time, I never once saw unclean bedding or bedclothes. He was routinely shaved. As a former employee I give this facility the highest recommendation. Crystal Cove has a very upscale feel with modern styling and beautiful patios where you can sit with your loved ones and enjoy the ocean breeze and palm trees. They have the best coffee in the dining room and all residents will feel welcomed by the friendly courteous and hard working staff. Before going to Crystal Cove, I checked out other available centers. CC was clean, well ventilated and fresh. By far the best I found. I was there following a hip replacement surgery this year and the year before knee replacement surgery. The therapy department is wonderful. They display expertise, encouragement, and support. They rotate therapists so the client gets the best of everyones ideas and suggestions. The medical staff is great. I was here in January for my first knee replacement surgery recovery and was totally impressed, so I am here a second time after having my other knee replaced. The therapy department is outstanding showing exemplary skill and knowledge, laced with compassion, support, and encouragement. Stayed at Crystal Cove for 11 days after a hip replacement. The physical therapy is stellar. Got me up and around quickly and challenged me. This is the place to go if you want first-rate physical therapy. They care for all levels of disability which you will see in the physical therapy room and when you're out and about in the hallways. My father stayed at Crystal Cove for 6 weeks in s2011 and my mother just finished a 2 month stay there so I feel I have a good familiarity with the facility. I was there almost every day and at various hours. I found the place to be clean and the staff incredibly competent and helpful.
