TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

My daughter likes this place when she was in Irvine. So I gotta try this since now they open one in seattle. Got there around 2pm. Pretty decent line. Plenty of space to seat front area and back. The bomb. Chicken sandwich is just done perfectly right snd balanced. Fry sauce is the bomb. Worth the wait. Thought service was just fine considering how many people want to eat here.
When I went on a Saturday at 12pm, the line for Dave's Hot Chicken was inside so it seemed like the perfect time to go! I ordered the #4 which came with a slider and fries with the Dave's sauce. I got level hot for the chicken. The slider itself was juicy and delectable and paired extra well with honey on top. The line for Dave's Hot Chicken was out the door! It wrapped around the corner of the building, and the total wait time for our order was 60 min! Despite that, the wait was worth it since my boyfriend and I have been craving Dave's Hot Chicken since we first tried it in July 2023 in LA. We're so happy that it opened in Capitol Hill! This review is for takeout. Finally got a chance to pick up today and the food is AMAZING! Great tasting chicken, very well seasoned and breaded and the fry on it is perfect. Served with a delicious Cole slaw and sauce and soft, fresh bread. Fries were hot, crispy and well seasoned. It's also great when restaurants actually deliver on the heat: mild is mild, hot is decently hot, and the hottest indeed packs a punch. YUMMM best chicken in seattle for sure. food was basically perfection and prices were fair for large portions. we got the #2 and it was the perfect amount to share. staff is friendly and the restaurant itself is nice inside with cool decor. 10/10
I bought the hot box roulette tenders knowing I would choose to eat the Grim Reaper. The chicken is amazing. The grim reaper? I am going to burn in hell for eternity. I am going to burn enough fossil fuels to ensure that I am irrelevant. I am ordering again just to prove the sweat and agony wasn't CGI for the uncommon-wealth.
As a first time customer: my to go order thru Ubereats, my pickles was not in a container it was sitting in the bag. This is just wrong and I work in a food industry as well. This is uncalled for. The sandwich and the chocolate shake with Oreos on top was great. mac & cheese was ok. Dave needs to do better when it comes to go orders.
This place just opened like a month ago and there's always a line to get in. My boyfriend and I decided to check out what the hype was about. We got the combo #3. We both got spice level hot and it sure was hot. I could probably do extra hot but not reaper. You can substitute the fries for another side item which is nice.
