I had an appointment at the David's Bridal in Rockville, MD this past Saturday (11/7/15) from 12pm - 1pm. I got there at 12pm with 3 of my bridesmaids, ready to try on and buy bridesmaids dresses for my wedding. We were told to start browsing and that a consultant would be with us shortly to get us started. They don't take up enough time with one customer. Try to wait on to many customers at a time
When you think of shopping for wedding dresses you think it should be fun, exciting, etc., and bridal shops should be prepared for that. But here I'll list out why ours was not. 1. When I came to check in for my appointment I was ignored and wasn't even greeted with a "hello be right with you" Finally after waiting 10 min and also having to wait in the check out line I was helped. 2. I went 3 times to try on dresses. Each time they could not locate my information regarding the dresses I had tried on previously and liked. I was starting over for each visit. Also, it took FOREVER to be waited on. Those not assisting anyone tried to look busy but obviously were not. The consultants also need more training and experience as I basically felt like I received better advice from department store associates.
Salespersons were of no help at all. After picking up my dress it took 20 minutes just to check out. At my alterations appointment I was told they could fix some imperfections in the material. When I returned for my appointment for my final fitting, I was left waiting while the only seamstress was assisting another bride. I could hear other employees talking in the next room.
