Bad experience. Was told they were going to try and negotiate some debt on my behav. So I opted for a 3 year 550 a month payment. Nothing was resolved and my bank account was froze due to the lawyer they paid to represent me. Now my credit is ruined I still owe money to debt blue and the creditors hey said they would help me with. Now my check is going to be garnished. Stay away.

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are truly sorry to hear that you feel disappointed and frustrated, as this is never the outcome we want for anyone who enrolls in our program.Debt resolution is a complex process, and while negotiations can take time, we understand how stressful situations involving legal action, frozen accounts, or wage garnishment can be. Our intention is always to provide guidance and support throughout the process, including explaining potential risks and available options when c... read more

Don't do it. Buyer beware! They will sell you a pipe dream and assure you that your problems will be solved, they trick you in to believing it, they pray on people wanting to get out of debt, they know were desperate to have some relief. I had agreed to a settlement offer 3 payments of $3xx, FANTASTIC! 5 months later I get an email statement from the creditor saying that I still owe them. I called the creditor and they said that debtblue failed to pay them on time so the settlement was voided. Debtblue got their money, and I... read more

Was told they could help me settle 5 accounts-they were only able to settle 1. Am at an amount that was way higher than the company was willing to settle with me for (I got a settlement offer right after I signed with debt blue so I couldnt accept it). Settlement amount was $2200-I made an additional large addition to my account in order to pay it off quicker. The total amount paid for this? $4400. Even with paying it off months and months ahead of time. They trick you into believing the fees wont be astronomical but they ar... read more

Business response:

Were sorry to hear youre disappointed. Settlement results and timing can vary based on creditor policies and when offers are presented, and not all accounts resolve at the same pace. All program fees are fully disclosed upfront and outlined in the enrollment agreement. We will be researching the details of your account and reaching out to discuss any possible resolutions to your concerns.

I had two accounts with a creditor Credit One. When you give POA ..DebtBlue has your correspondence go to their mailing address and I was unaware of that. So I didn't get to see any settlements the creditor had to offer or anything. Instead they sent me to a collection agency called ********* which ended up being a nightmare. They took out a civil summons against me for both accounts separately one was 2600.00 and the other was 1400.00. My family paid the 2nd one (1400 ) off. I am paying for legal thru the program ******** *... read more

Business response:

Were truly sorry to hear about the hardship youve experienced and understand how stressful this situation has been for you and your family. When a Power of Attorney is established, creditor correspondence is directed to our office so we can negotiate on our clients behalf; however, we understand how this can feel frustrating if expectations werent clear. Legal actions can still occur in some cases despite ongoing negotiations, which is why litigation support options are available. We will be researching the details of your a... read more

My ***** account was overpaid. The settled amount is $3900 and my payments amounted to $4550. My ********* account has still not been updated. I had made $708 in payments plus $825.68. I am worried that I might be overcharged again.

Business response:

We are here to address your concerns about overpayments and account updates. Please contact us at ************** to resolve this immediately.

Thank you for the opportunity to submit a few words. I have been with Debt Blue a couple of months now. And what I find so far is that I would like them to be a little bit more aggressive with notifying my creditors that they are representing me. Im not happy about the interest building rapidly and I need to stop that bleeding. I would like to see a little bit more response from them to my creditors to start something going. I will keep you abreast as to what I find in real time.

Business response:

We really appreciate the feedback, *****. We will be reaching out to discuss the intricacies of your account.

I have completed my plan, and despite two months of contacting DebtBlue, I am still subject to auto-withdrawals from my checking account. I now consider it an act of theft on their part. Currently, over $700 of my money is sitting in an escrow account for debts that are now fully resolved. The customer service representatives are always pleasant and assure me that the issue will be resolved and that any excess funds will be restored to me, BUT nothing happens. If I do not get an immediate resolution, I am filing a complaint ... read more

I spent 2 or more hours on the phone with a *** from DebtBlue and they had even sent me a link to the BBB reviews. (All the positive ones) I signed up with DebtBlue and the next day, I found the negative reviews and decided to not go through with the debt consolidation process. When I sent an email to the ***s, they stopped responding to me. I tried calling the number listed online for customer service and as soon as I said to the *** I wanted to cancel my agreement I was put on hold for *************************************... read more

I worked at DebtBlue for a period of time, and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing professional experiences Ive had. The company operates under a rigid, top-down structure that treats its employees with a lack of respect and empathy. The environment felt like an outdated, patriarchal model of corporate America inhumane, impersonal, and deeply discouraging.Operationally, the systems in place are inefficient and outdated, which negatively impacts both employees and clients. Theres no streamlined or effective pr... read more
