After searching through amazon for scanners with software for editing capabilities this one seemed to be able to do the job. unfortunately it did not. Excellent portable scanner but not as a work desk scanner. After a thorough review of this product, it fails me for these reasons: The item's miniUSB connection placement interferes with the paper thru-put area (dead space required behind scanner); it is a light-duty product; requires proprietary software to operate ( upgrading existing scanner software may require additional costs); and, it does not allow stacked sheet feeding ( unattended sheet feeding ). Stopped working after 15 months Worked well for 15 months. Then started to show error message "does not initiate". De-installed drivers, installed again, with no result. Using with MacBookAir. MacOS Catalina 10.15. Would like my money back if possible.
The Darn thing wont work with the lates MAC computer os, this thing was a waste of time the portable printer unfortunately has very poor software support did not work for my computer wish I knew it sooner, now it I have to go through the hassle of returning
Broke After 8 Months of Limited Use This product worked great until it broke after 8 months of light use. Out of nowhere, it started to make a grinding sound when I tried to scan. So then I cleaned everything and that did work.
Don’t recommend for Mac OSX Catalina users. It doesn’t work. This product was not compatible with Mac Catalina, despite downloading the updated forever and capture app, it would not work. The website was near impossible to navigate to find the correct driver and software. Returning it for a refund.
Bought two - disappointed. I bought two of these items and the charge connectors broke twice and so neither of these scanners are working and so dissatisfied with the product.
Brother messes up I already have 2 Brother products that work perfectly and are rock solid reliable, so I was surprised when I purchased the ^20 scanner that they released it without a supporting drivers for MAC OS 10.15.3. Tech support kept telling me the driver was coming soon, but 'soon' stretched into 2 1/2 weeks, so I returned the unit today. Great at first but doesn't last I have had this scanner for less than 2 years and I have only scanned around 25 documents total. I use it often during tax season but this year when I went to use it, the rollers that help feed the paper through were jammed. I followed the trouble shooting tips provided by Brother and they didn't work. I reached out to their support only to have them recommend the same article and then suggest I check if it's in warranty. It's not. Now it functions as a bulky paperweight.
