Bad luck I liked the idea of this product but it did not work for me. I spent an hour on the phone with tech support and plan to return this item tomorrow. Maybe I’ll try another one but that is a lot of effort for a product.
So frustrating! I'm so bummed that this scanner didn't work out for me. I haven't been able to figure it out. It didn't come with a user manual. I had to go online and download it after googling how to find it! One of my problems is with where the file ends up after scanning. When I googled how to correct the error I was directed to go to a file option that wasn't available on my computer! Not so great Went to download the software/drivers, got the "Installation successful" message and then nothing. Every time I tried to scan a page, I got an "Initialize failure" message. Downloaded and installed the software/drivers three times and same thing happened three times. And on top of that, there is no way to contact Brother. No support phone number. Next!
Terrible quality. If you are wanting a real scanner, don't get this. This product is horrible. If you don't care about a quality scan where you can actually read small text from a scanned document, then this is for you. If you do care about quality, then stay away from this scanner. It's like a kids toy. I need something that works and works well. Very disappointed.
Not Compatible macOS 10.14.6 Mojave My scanner just came today, obviously a 2018 MacBook Pro does not have a CD drive, so I was forced to download the drivers from Brother website. DSmobileCapture is listed for 10.14, however is not compatible with 10.14.6 Mojave. A constant "initialize failed" error message is received. Very disappointed.
Not Recommended for MAC users Terrible SW support, it has worked once for me since buying it. initialized failed. every time i try to use it. i have updated the SW to the scanner, to my macbook pro. Terrible support for a reputable company.
This Scanner is Not Worth Your Time It seemed like such a cute little mobile scanner. I did everything I could to sharpen the scanned images and nothing worked. There were also issues with opening the documents. I wasted alot of time on this scanner and suggest you do not do the same
Could not Install with Neat on Man OS 10.14 - Tech Support Failed for Brother and Neat I spent several hours installing both Neat and Brother drivers. Calls to tech support for both orgs did not solve the issue with this scanner. The agents were courteous but unable to resolve the issue. The scanner is not recognized by Neat software. It does scan to the Brother scan utility. I will return it and try a different scanner and manufacturer.
