I will NEVER come back here! It closer and cheaper but I will drive further and pay more then to deal with these people. They said my cat was an aggressive cat That he was scratching, bitting and spraying poop. They wanted to sedate him for $300 to just give him a shot and to check him. I asked multiple times if I could go in the back and be with him. Because he has never been aggressive in the six year (3 kids) that I've had him. They said "no we don't allow owners in the back" I asked for my cat back and we left. I went... read more

Very expensive. I had been taking my cat Mandy to Dena in Prunedale . I love her. Mandy had kidney issues and it was only a matter of short time. Dena kept her very comfortable and we were waiting and watching closely for when Mandy was ready to leave. Sadly she was ready on a Monday and my vet office is closed on Monday. Also it was on Memorial day so my second vet was closed as well. So I found East Lake was open. Not for emergencies, it was a regular open day. I was charged $220.00 to help my tiny little cat cross over. ... read more

they said the cat after test, pill costing $350.00 would "probably live 2yrs longer..and they would "like to try it" and that the cat would "come back" phyically. of course they weren't paying the bill. this cat turned to stone 3 days later. but they got their money.

My dog very suddenly began having breathing problems and difficulty walking - like, within an hour of our usual 3 mile runs. She has always been healthy and active and it was shocking how this came on. I took her to East Lake and they wanted $800 to check her for foxtails. I could not believe the cost but I consented. They found nothing and said she looks entirely healthy in ears, nose, throat. Really? You couldn't see any of that without $800???They suggested blood work for several hundred more. I brought her home just as s... read more

I have taken my dog to several vets trying to find THE best care I could find. East lake animal is by far the WORST ever. Every time I see the commercial with the doctors **** eating grin, I cringe. We're just gonna make a little incision and get the foxtail out...the whole thigh was sliced from the butt to the knee. Oh we didn't find anything but we cleaned her teeth. A month later same symptoms.. here's some antibiotics. Well my dog licked a hole basically herself and guess what came out.. a foxtail. Thanks doc.

This was the last straw for this place. We bring our 14 year old dog in here from time to time to get his nails trimmed. I walked up to the desk, the girls were very professional and kind. But a new rule. To have their nails clipped they need proof of a current rabies vaccine or of coarse they can give one. First off, my dog isn't due for a rabies vaccine for 2 more years. Secondly, if you gave him one before you did his nails, what good would that do??? It would not be effective for 28 days??? So the only reason is for the ... read more

wow this place has horrible reviews ( I feel bad so I put an extra star). I take my two dogs here and I feel as if the staff they have working there is very rough looking and not that friendly!!!! When walking into a vet you would think you would have nice, sympathetic people working. A lot of the people that I have talked to stopped taking their dog here for the same reasons. COME ON why don't you hire friendly people that actually REALLY DO care about pets??? The staff is so unemotional and seems as if they could careless... read more

I was recently encouraged to share my horrible experiences at this vet clinic. It might end up being long so I'll summarize with this in case you prefer a quick read: IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET DONT TAKE THEM HERE!!!!! I'll start with my most painful experience. My first dog was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor on his toe. When discussing our options the only one I got was to amputate it. Without hesitation I agreed, whatever it took for my friend to continue living a happy and healthy life! He got the surgery, we managed to pay ... read more

This is the type of place you walk out of VOWING never to return, yet when they are closest vet in proximity, you may tend to give them second, third, fourth chances. I should've written reviews when the horrendous experiences were raw and fresh, but better late than never. Let me first say, that Brittany is a wonderful professional staff member there, and she was the silver lining. They had one vet that had a great demeanor, but alas, Dr. Marten is no longer working there. The rest of the staff were inappropriate, abrasive,... read more
