First impression is not great. The waiting area is dirty with pet hair in all the corners and has a slight smell. We were at the location for almost 2 hours to just have an exam and shots and anal glands. That should take an hour or less. Was asked to arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork which we did in 5 min and then sat for 45 minutes waiting to be taken into an exam room. Kiersten, I'm upset that you did not have a great first visit to our clinic. Waiting for an extended time when you have a scheduled appointment is not acceptable. Please accept my apologies. We work hard to keep our clinic clean and sanitized throughout the day. I've had nothing but positive interactions with east valley. Long story short, I had to put my 13 year old dog down. I couldn't bring myself to go in with him so my boyfriend took him in. They let him sit with my dog as long as he wanted and never pressured him for the room or payment. Today I received a condolence card from them. Special thank you to Dr Graham and Kelli at the front desk. Y'all are a classy bunch of people.
I scheduled an appointment for my Yorkie yesterday due to what I thought was an eye infection. This morning while outside, he received a puncture wound on his forehead. As soon as East Valley opened, I called to make sure that they could see him for this puncture wound as well as the eye infection. They were very understanding. The staff have all been amazing. My cat got poked in the eye some how. I've been here once a week for 4 weeks now and they are so polite, helpful and considerate. Today, my cat was taken in for our weekly appointment which happened to also be my grandmas funeral date. The staff took care of my cat quickly knowing I had a time sensitive situation. Took our Jerico for a second opinion regarding a growth on his nose. The doctor and facility were wonderful. The cost for surgery wasn't ridiculous and we have our happy fur baby back. Thank you so much guys. You are our new vet for sure!
Not a big fan. I only gave three stars because the Verterinarian was very good to us when we had to put our dog of 15 years down last year. We stopped going to them after they wrapped our pups broken toe too tight and had numerous problems with it. We changed vets and are thankful we did. East Valley Pet Hospital is very expensive compared to other places that we have found. Most of the people at East Valley are nice but there is a young lady at the front desk that is very rude. I took my pug here after going to another Vet and felt like they were ripping me off. My dog had many mast cell tumors that needed to be removed. This Vet came back $800 lower than the previous "quote" I had received. From the moment we walked in they made us feel comfortable and truly cared about my pet. East Valley Pet Hospital could only be better if they helped humans and I could be their patient. Everyone here truly cares about each pet and realizes the human animal bond that occurs when a pet is a family member. Much more, their compassion when an animal is sick or hurting extends not only to the animal, but to the human family members as well. This is just an addition to my previous review. I noticed all the bad reviews from a couple of years ago. To be fair, the front desk staff were very rude. But I complained to the main doctor and owner. The front staff completely changed over to new people. So, this part of the experience has greatly improved.
