Expensive - Slow Response - Unjust Rulings of Claims Policy jumped up an additional 60% in a single year with no explanation meanwhile I have multiple claims denied unjustly. My pet suffered a flea bite that irritated a spot on his back 2 years before we started the policy - it was treated and there were no further issues. Now my cat is suffering from an unrelated skin condition (dust allergy) and they refuse my claims because he had that 1 instance of a dermatologic condition/skin lesion before the policy started. I've been... read more

NO STARS but had to 1 to post. I hate them! Not helpful. They take my money but refuse to pay out. Heres my story… Got a dog and went through **** for pet insurance. **** uses Embrace. I had this vet but they closed fast and unexpectedly. I went to a new vet, got all my dogs yearly vaccine shots and sent Embrace a claim for first time. Embrace now wants that closed vets records (SOAP) is what Embrace calls it. I called them and told them i cant get it, they closed, they are not answering phone or emails. Embrace knows this a... read more

So GLAD I cancelled with them. They're a HUGE SCAM and shouldn't even be allowed to provide insurance for pet's. It's DISGUSTING what these insurance companies are allowed to get away with.
Business response:
Hello, we are sorry to hear you've had a negative experience with Embrace. We would like to see if we can help. You can email us at ************************************* with your policy number if you’d like to discuss this matter further and we can then look into your concerns. Regards, The Embrace Team
They kept telling me that they were waiting for more information about my claim and would only take 30 days after the first claim. Then, they raised my rates on my claim and refused to give me any information about what was happening to the claim. They are total scammers. Don't ever use these people.
Business response:
Thank you for reaching out so we could assist you further, Joseph. Although we try to process claims as quickly as possible, sometimes it can take longer to process the first accident or illness claim as we gather your pet’s complete medical history. Obtaining medical history is a process we are continuously working to improve. We work directly with your vet to gather any additional medical records needed to review your pet’s complete medical history and we copy you on any email request to keep you in the loop. The good news... read more
GARBAGE! LIES! SCAM! Paid a $800 annual policy, made a claim past the waiting period, and was denied for a ER visit. This ER visit was due to my dog vomiting blood and Embrace decided that this was a preexisting condition because my dog was seen by the vet before for vomiting. To be clear, that visit was just for vomiting not vomiting blood. Embrace also decided to let me know AFTER I filed my first claim, that diarrhea was one of my dog's preexisting condition and dog has a preexisting condition of spinal issues. So Embrace... read more

Hello BBB, I would be happy to address this case with you. On 9/26/24, Mrs. B******* purchased a policy with Embrace Pet Insurance for her dog Penelope. After purchasing this policy, Mrs. B******* received an email, which explains the waiting periods associated with the policy as well as a copy of the terms and conditions which defines we do not cover pre-existing conditions and what that entails. Every pet is required to have a medical history review completed to determine any pre-existing conditions prior to the processing... read more
Beware, this is a predatory company in my experience. Last Oct, I purchased an accident/illness policy for our 4 mos old pup in full. I read the policy docs and was very alarmed by what I perceived as extremely vague, predatory language. Per my policy, anything deemed the result of owner neglect and/or behavioral problem/s could be denied, giving Embrace what I saw as overreaching discretion, as nearly every claim COULD potentially be denied based on the adjusters’ interpretation of the event itself (ie dog jumping through a... read more

We are sorry to hear of your frustration with the claims process, ******* In order to process an accident or illness claim we do need your pet's complete medical history on file as our terms and conditions state: Part II – Conditions 8. By purchasing a policy, you give us permission to gather all medical history for your Pet(s) from all your Veterinary Providers as we deem necessary. The medical information must contain detailed Veterinarian examination findings and must be made available to us for review to satisfy the exam... read more
I was shocked that when my policy renewed Embrace started charging my credit card 154 dollars per month when my previous premium was 114 dollars. First, I never said they could charge more and second, this is a 35% increase, which is criminal. I used the insurance, which is why I purchased it and they increased my rate substantially like a typical auto insurer. This was absolutely unacceptable and even more appalling they charged me a higher rate without my written authorization. This needs to be fixed as it is completely un... read more

Hello *****, thank you for reaching out. We know a premium increase is never ideal. Premiums do increase over time with all insurance products, and pet insurance is no exception. Per the policy terms and conditions, “Your policy will automatically renew at the end of your policy term unless you tell us otherwise or we non-renew under rare circumstances.” We always send an email out about a month or so before the renewal date to notify you of the upcoming renewal and it has the renewal quote attached. This email went out on 5... read more
Don’t use embrace pet insurance. All the claims get rejected even though it’s for a different diagnosis. Always saying due to preexisting condition. I had wellness plan as well and didn’t use the whole amount. They still billed me for the year and told me there’s no wellness plan stand alone so still need to have some type of insurance with it if I want to use rest of the money covered under wellness plan. Biggest regret is using this company. SCAM!!!
Business response:
We are sorry to hear you were disappointed with your policy, ****. We want to be upfront about our coverage and the exclusion of pre-existing conditions which is defined and agreed upon in our terms and conditions as: 32. Pre-existing Condition(s) means: a. A Chronic Condition observed by you or your Veterinary Provider prior to the end of the Waiting Period for your Pet(s) and any related conditions; or b. An Illness or Injury that first occurred or showed Clinical Signs prior to the end of the Waiting Period for your Pet a... read more
COMPLETE SCAM...DO NOT USE. I brought my puppy home and she started having diarrhea and became lethargic after only three days. I looked up different insurances and decided to go with embrace. They wouldn't cover the bill because it was a pre-existing condition. Which is fine and what I expected. When I took her to the vet, she was diagnosed with coccidia and Gerardia. She was treated for these and within one week was 100%. Four months later, on a walk, she jumped into some stagnant water and began having diarrhea and lethar... read more
