I’ve been a loyal customer for 10 years and the company is more than doubling my premiums at an age in my dogs life that will be hard to secure other insurance. So disappointed. They penalize loyal customers. Do not insure with this company.

Embrace jacked up my annual premium by roughly 18% after one year with no claims. They also automatically renewed my policy with the new premium with no notification. They claimed the failure to notify me of the renewal was due to an "unforeseen issue in our notification system". Their own website says they are required to provide the updated policy and rates 2-4 weeks prior to renewal, which I received 5 weeks AFTER the renewal.

Save your money. Embrace is not an insurance company, only a middle man. American Mo)dern Home Insurance Co is who the end insurer actually is. I found this out thru the SC Dept of Ins. Imagine my surprise. This company is not transparent. They do not pay claims. I've paid in for over 18 years. Never, ever auto draft with this company. Auto drafting exempts them from notifying you of premium increases and revisions on your policy. Imagine my surprise finding this out. 18 years. My original policy is on Version # 5. I have been with embrace for over 9 years paying every month. I have never gone past my deductible, so I never received any funds back for insurance until this year. I started with less than $ 40 monthly charges I understand it goes up a little each year and I had to take a higher deductible and less coverage to stay under the $ 84.85 last year even though I never had a claim in all the years I had pet insurance. Embrace is not transparent at all. Ì enrolled, had medical records reviewed and the came back with a long list of pre existing conditions that my vet said were ridiculous. Rick salt in her pad was called lameness, so anything she may develop in the future should she ever have lameness is a exclusion. Also I asked about accident only, and they said it only covers The Initial Visit, no follow up at all. I asked where on the web page that is stated, she snapped at me and said read the fine print. Please STAY AWAY FROM EMBRACE. I would not recommend them to my worse enemy. 1. They dig into the smallest "preexisting condition" not to cover your pets. In this case they blamed a self inflicted scratched eye from a dry eye in 2022. Once my opthamologist was able to prove thats its not from dry eye, they want additional proof from my primary doctor. Terrible first experience with them. This was my first attempt at obtaining insurance. My cat is not being covered because of the word diarrhea, which they've listed as a permanent condition in his chart. Diarrhea is a sign/symtom that goes along with many conditions and illnesses. To claim diarrhea as a pre-existing condition is absurd. He had a parasite. He had giardia at about 3 months old, and had some diarrhea with it.
