Arrived on time for an 8:45 appointment. By 9:40, the doctor still hadn't been in to see me. I went up to the desk and asked how much longer the wait will be, and was told he was coming to me next. When he comes in, Dr. Petty proceeds to admonish me because he was told that I checked in late, and that they have to see the people that arrive on time first. I saw Dr. Gilbert, within two minutes of coming in he got up and his body language suggested he wanted to leave. It felt like it he was done with me. Extremely unprofessional. I had the X-ray on my phone and he suggested that I get an xray again so that they could make more money off of it. I told him that I had been doing what he had suggested previously for over 3 years and it did not help. But he suggested I continue the same stuff and prescribed a medication. He performed 2 surgeries on my elbow for the same problem. Both illiciated more pain and even different pain. Last time I saw him he sent me to a pain clinic doctor and didn't verbally advise me it was for pain control. This said to me that he expected me to have chronic pain. And I have been in pain for 3 years. I finally changed doctors, jand ust had another surgery (to repair same thing). I'm 6 weeks out and it's a world of difference than the previous two! Horrible experience with this physician. I saw 2 PA s for a broken wrist that was worse after treatment. I asked some questions about my treatment and she excluded herself from answering my questions.
He left me in the lobby for an hour and then was told it would be another forty minutes while he took more urgent care patients that pay more. Everytime my wife and I come to Emerge they make you wait at least an hour after your appointment.
Incompetent.
Wasn't interested in pain management, which should be about helping with pain. Dosage, and how a medicine is helping, not why should I let you have this med. Maybe if it was addictive, no. Said how much it helped and didn't seem to care. Denied my refill twice. I would only guess those who gave a good review are dependent on her for their pain meds. I will say this, my experience with her staff couldn't have been better.
The doctor did not even spend a minute with me and check my knee and he just refilled the same medication which was not working for my knee problem
The nurse first to see me asked (again) what i needed to be treated. I explained I was rear ended & my neck / ankle foot were bothersome. She said “that’s 3, Dr. Burts will only treat 2 body parts per visit. She didn’t tell me he does NOT treat neck or spine and allowed me to select ankle & neck (w/ a broken foot left out). I had ankle & neck x-rays done. When doc came in he handed me a picture of the X-rays said something about a spine Dr & ordered an air cast boot for my ankle.
