Drove all the way from California for a nice week in Denver and when my two friends and I showed with a reservation for two beds, we were put in a room with one. When we went back down to get the room we reserved, they were fully booked. My friend slept on the floor! I wish I had read reviews before hand because it looks like this happens there a lot!
We got to the hotel after a day of travel to discover our room had been given away. Yes! After booking it months in advance, receiving a confirmation number, traveling and carrying in our luggage, we were told we didn't have a room. We were also told that this is because the .com people like Orbitz over booked! Not only did we have to find another hotel on short notice we ended up paying an extra $250.00 for the week. Rude, inconvenient, costly and what a way to start your weeks vacation!!!
My room smelt like cat piss/litter, there were no cooking utensils even though there was a full kitchen, and the person in the room directly next to me had a dog with them that they allowed to bark continuously from around midnight to 3 a.m. (when I had to be up for work by 6 a.m.). I got this hotel to make my life easier for work & instead got bare minimal sleep.
Not a good experience! We'd booked two rooms (4 guests) for 4 nights. When we arrived late in the evening, it took a while for us to check-in. Then we're hit by a surprise - they had only one room available for us. It took another 30-40 minutes to get a room released by the manager (whi was off-site) to the front desk staff. But when we went in he room and checked the room, we were shocked to find the bed with used unclean bedsheet that has a nasty awful blood stain (perhaps a female thing). Poor service and cleaner. The front desk in the day is good but to diference in the night soo bad.
