Not our first choice for a Simi stay. Booked the same day by calling hotels.com because we were evacuated from our area due to fires. The lobby smelled like a hospital, but that wasn't a big issue. Communicating with the staff member who checed us in was a challenge. The room was okay. We left early the next morning and were gone till after 6 pm, but when we returned, housekeeping had still not been to the room--- the bed was unmade and we only had one towel left, and no soap. The place was dirty inside and out. Trashy. Minimum water in shower. They only offer packaged muffins inside a cabinet for breakfast. No carpet. Dirty wood floors. You charge more than other hotels and your services are really bad. We will never stay at this place ever again.

A race to the bottom The place is a dump. Bad, under trained staff, zero communication between staff and client (me). I complained 7 days in a row about not having a phone in the room...no response. Surly, unhelpful staff. Not their fault. Owner obviously looking at bottom line only. Never again.

Their “breakfast” is a stale granola bar or muffin and old coffee, if it’s even been made. My sheets were dirty and I called the desk for cleaning. The manager dropped off a sheet and had me make the bed. Not clean anywhere in the room.

I stayed with my dog. They didn’t acknowledge I had informed him during reservations process and showed him on my email confirmation I did. Also, they put my dog and myself on the 3rd floor and didn’t allow pet on the elevator. We must have walked up and down at least a dozen times. We go to this dog event annually, I made sure to tell all other dog people to never stay there. Other motels are more accommodating.
