When we arrived the CSR told us it would be several hours before we could check in. We’d just drive 27 hours. We cake back and still was not a clean room. There was a strong cigarette smell through out the whole inside of the building. No dishes in the room for full kitchenettes. Low towels room was not cleaned properly. We requested dishes from front desk and they were dirty, with chucks of dried food in cups and dirty pots. We at that point washed even the clean ones for fear of getting sick. The pictures way over sale this place. Checked in around 8 pm and the “Lobby” which is really just a narrow check in counter looked like a pay day cash advance place. A huge security glass ran the length of the counter. A 55 inch TV directly across from you showing you are being recorded. Guy in front of me was complaining his room had no towels,toilet paper, or anything. There are so many people coming and going and hanging out smoking next to their cars. It was weird. Melissa, the assistant manager has for the last week refused to follow company policy and has not only refused to send my cell phone that was accidentally left there, but is the rudest and most uncooperative individual I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Not only did she refuse multiple times to follow her employer's rules, she intentionally lied to us about their procedure, then told us she didn't care if the phone sat there forever. Extended stay in Elk Grove I left the hotel after an hour after checking in because there was a strong smell of cigarettes, weed, paint and dust. I tried my best to air everything out but the smell was so strong nothing worked. I ended up leaving tired with my 4 year old. I still haven’t received my refund from this inconvenience.
