bug bites, no breakfast and no microwave got to the room, the window had been left open... room was cold... there was no microwave in the room... called the front desk at around 11pm, and was told breakfast would start at 6am... woke up at 7:30 with 5 mosquito bites (3 on my shoulder, 1 on my underarm and 1 on my hip)… went down to the lobby, and there was no breakfast... they said "sorry" and then started putting up signs saying it was cancelled... upon checkout, I asked why there was no microwave... The room we got had a refrigerator that made loud noises the whole night. It kept my 9 year old and I up all night. It was also facing the freeway and the outside noise was too much. There was also the fact that we were given the wrong keys to our room and when I called from my cell to inform the front desk, he asked me to come back down and get the new one. It was a mess. I’m glad we only stayed for one night.

The place was clearly understaffed. Waited at front desk for half hour both to ck in and out. No one at all at front desk. The room was equipped with a kitchen and the entire room smelled like sausages for our entire stay. The front desk informed me that they had to staff members each cleaning 20 rooms each!

Don't be fooled by the "includes breakfast" that it offers, they only offer coffee and a muffin or oatmeal...rooms stink,floors are sticky,bedsheets are not completely on the bed...This is a animal friendly hotel so be prepared to here a lot of barking at night...

Didnt go. So i cant comment. I tried to call and cancel and was put on hold several times and i gave up. So i am out the money for reservation.

Not withstanding the ants in the bathroom, the smell coming from the carpet attests to the ability to cook in the units, but the inability to properly clean the carpets. As it is a long term rental for many people and you don’t mind smelling everyone’s cooking in the halls, it’s tolerable. I was able to get a last minute room for the Christmas week, so should have been better prepared, but was just glad to get something in Marin that didn’t break the bank. Just felt icky.

What Happened? It had been over a year since I've stayed at the Extended Stay in San Rafael and I will not be staying there again. Overall the place is not being kept up from simple repairs like removing writing on the walls to removing stains from the carpet. We were there for 3 days and did not get clean towels. The "breakfast" that's served is coffee, granola bars and packaged muffins. The Extended Stay in Georgetown TX has a full hot buffet with cereal options. For me, what they charge for their rooms isn't worth it and ... read more
